Ebay conrods, has anyone been game?
Ok I should mention that I haven't actually decided on which engine to build, but so far I am looking at filling the top of an EJ25D (open deck JDM 250T Legacy engine) and filling it with whatever budget go-fast bits I can find. Mainly for headroom for future mods than any current plans.
But specifically I am looking at conrods sold by someone on ebay with the username maxspeedingrods. He is selling rods to suit the EJ20 that "are good for 10,000rpm and 1000hp". Naturally I'm not after 1000hp, but *someone* must have bought NoName eBay rods before and has some insight for me. So what feedback have you got re: these rods? Also, what is the difference between the EJ20 and EJ25 rod dimensions? I'm told they are the same (which isn't impossible if the wrist pin has been moved up, or outwards, on the piston). This would mean I can use these same rods on the EJ25, and they will be 'good for' around 8500rpm, and presumably the same level of power. Thanks Ben |
