Default just went stage 2, 16.7 PSI in 3rd gear!

Just flashed Cobb stage 2 cal 91 ocatane 1.30. I'm hitting 16.7 PSI in 3rd gear and it hasnt even learned yet . Is this normal? Is my car just healthy?

thanks in advance,
Steve

Hell yeah but what would I know??? We ALL run that poundage standard!!!LOL!
From what I can gather, that sounds pretty good. Although over here std setups can push about 25 Psi with no other mods other than an ECU!!

Cheers

I'm also hitting 16.7 on stage 2 (93 octane) in 3rd gear, but that was with the Vishnu reset.

Just keep an eye on it to make sure no knocking or boost spiking occurs. You may want to run some logs on it to be sure.

When it does learn it will probly lower boost down, as it should be 15.8 PSi for it's target.

Wow, that's great, the highest I've seen (on AP, not gauge) is 16.4 (w/ STi TMIC) in 4th but it it never changed from 1st day.

Boost is not learned- fueling and timing are learned in the ECU, however, boost is a dynamic system.

Target boost is 15.8 +-.5 psi. The maps are set up for those levels. If you are running outside that range, you may be having timing pulled or something.

i have hit 18.1 psi on cobb stage 2, also runing c16 race gas, but our stock ecu is very flexible and will lean out the ratio until it's just right, don't worry about it..

Lean out what ratio? OL fueling is not learned. If you are programmed to run 10:1 fueling and push 18 psi, you are going to still run 10:1 (assuming the injectors can flow that much). If the maps aren't scaled correctly for the loads you are seeing, you may end up hitting areas of the map you weren't intended to.

For example, in the stock ECU mapping, there are spots set up to run 9:1, however, with stock boost levels, you will never hit them. Throwing an MBC on the car for instance, will cause you to hit them. You are running more boost, insanely rich and possibly making no more power.

If you want to run more boost, I highly recommend a custom tune.

thanks for the suggestion, not running any of that anymore, now 18g, utec, etc... but agreed it was crazy rich and not much more power than a normal stage 2 setup, but good for the road course, no knock, ping, etc...extremely safe..
