I was able to finish the write-up for anyone who is interested in installing injectors into their car. It's another super long step-by-step guide. So enjoy!!

Here's the link!

I'm definitely going to try, I hope they let me!
I'd like to make a sick video but I have a feeling I would get in their way trying to get a good shot, we'll see...

Quick post on fuel economy from the ride...

387 miles driven on the tank.
Didn't hit boost for all of the miles driven (boring and tough to do)
850cc injectors

24.9 mpg

This is what the factory readout was, haha

Small shot from my iPhone taken after the trip.

Did you do the calculation of miles driven divided by the gallons put back in the car? To see which is more accurate?

I've been following this thread for awhile. My '12 SWP WRX hatch was ordered last week. Love your progress.

I actually used one of your pictures for the photoshop thread. I wanted to see what my current wheels would look like on your car since I will be going the mudflap, lowered route as well. Hope you don't mind! The results are below.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ostcount=15022

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ostcount=15023

The result shows my gold wheels way too saturated compared to their true color, and it looks like they are a bit small. In reality they are 18's and will probably be a little bigger.

No worries mate, I don't mind at all!
I should try something like that for seeing what color wheels I would like to put on the car. I just need to take some time out and actually do it.

Also, I just finished up the 6 Hour drive from Maine to NY so I'm going to fill up in the morning before my tune and see what the comparison is to the AP's calculation.
It has to be close, I got 385 miles on one fill-up and I put 15.3 Gallons in the car before I left, that comes out to 25.16

I'll see for sure in the morning...

Tirerack is good for viewing wheels on your car too.

Forgot to mention I am also subscribed to this thread. I'm going to be doing many of the things you already have.

How has the Invidia exhaust grown on you? After looking through all the options I think the Invidia looks the best, but I don't want a huge increase in sound, which I think you were after as well.

Okay, here it is guys...
I was disappointed with the results just because I had higher expectations then what I really got. The car had to be tuned for 93 but then scaled down because there is no 93 octane in Maine. Since I couldn't find 91 in Connecticut the tuner had to tune with 93 and guess on how the 91 would react. So, I have a very conservative 263 HP and 302 TQ.

What do you guys think?

Also, I made a video of the shop and a couple runs...

Go home, fill up with 91, and get an e-tune from phatbotti or torqued performance. Not EFI's fault, they can only guess without the proper fuel in the car.

^Xluben, I'm pretty sure Jason said e85 isn't readily avaible in Maine.
Man, I was honestly expecting greater 300whp and 330wtq on 91, it is a Mustang dyno though! At least you can be assured you have a safe running tune and your engine is not likely to have fairly over the long run!

Yeah, I'm not disappointed at EFI at all, they were great, professional and the map they made is so smooth and perfect.

In all actuality besides the number, I feel this is the best performance for me and my driving style. I have a super reliable, faster, smoother daily driver. That is what this build is all about! I would have loved to see 300+HP but even if I did it still wouldn't get me to a track any sooner.

Till next time...

I think those numbers are really respectable. I'd rather have more TQ than HP. It looks like you have really created a fantastic daily driver, which is what you set out to do in the first place. So, congrats!

Yeah, I could have done a tune for e85 because there was a station down the road but they would have charged an extra $200 for the map and it would have been basically useless. I would have higher number for my ego and members on NASIOC to talk about but I really couldn't justify the extra $$

I didn't even get a map for the 93oct, that would have also been another $200. It sucks about not having higher octane fuel but it is what it is...

Thanks man, I really appreciate the understanding of the tune. I was so afraid to post my results because so many members would rather have a unstable high-horsepower map then a properly tuned reliable car.

Yes, I'm a little bitter because I spent so much money for a rather low number, but I can drive this car as hard as I want all day without any concerns of damage and that seems worth it to me.

Regardless I would be happy and enjoy, they are just NUMBERS. Guarantee if you post a virtual dyno run or airboy spreadsheet those #'s would be significantly higher. Most guys only post virtual dyno results and get all butt hurt about such differences.

Oh yeah BTW, I've been researching brake options as well. Not sure if thats something you've been looking into at all. Came across this http://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/wrx/kits-12/ Definitely beats buying a used Sti Brembo set or spending alot more on other kits.
Looks extremely promising if you ask me, for a bit more stopping power and awesome looks. You can compare the calipers they use on willwoods website.

Hey that's weird... I don't know if it was you that led me to that site but about a week ago I came across that site and was impressed about possibly having Willwood brakes! I'd like to fill the 18" wheels with something but the Brembo Turismo's are like $3600 and that's out of the question. The STI upgrade is nice at $1600 but if I could get Wilwood brakes, that would be amazing!!

Have you called for a quote on these yet?

I think that is great numbers, remember Mustangs read low and I spoke to EFI when Akuma did my car as well. 263 WHP is very respectable and more in line then the moon reading dynos we sometimes see on here. Does the car run good? Are you happy with the tune? thats all that matter. I got 237WHP on Akumas mustang prior to the HTA68 install. And that was stage-2 plus!

Holy crap does that make me feel better, not because of the numbers but I really appreciate you guys actually giving me honest feedback. I can't thank all of you enough.

I really thought every car was an easy legitimate 300+
I'm new to the dyno world and I was debating on showing my results.

Now I'm excited to keep going and less discouraged!!
