Well we did a compression test tonight turned out not so good actually turned out straight up ****y cylinders 1 and 3 were in the 130-135 range on a cold start up which I was hoping they would considering I just finished the head gasket on that side, anywho we moved on to 2 and 4... ha... 2 is reading around 80 i believe and 4 had nothing... that jank was reading straight up 0, but after about 6 cranks it got up to a whopping 10 psi. Pretty much its my fault pence told me 1 and 3 so I went with it but now after another $400 in the hole I'm either gonna have to rebuild it again or get a new short block, I guess that's what I get for not checking it myself in the first place.

^Thats what I was thinking. I know they were doing a little house keeping and getting rid of the threads over 2000 posts.

I dunno if i could make that one, looks like Subaru if Richmond sucks bad, i wouldn't pay them 10 bucks for their work. Basically going to a family thing in Williamsburg my motor blew again. just cruising, smelt a little bit of burning oil, figured it was the crappy car in front of me, so gave it a tad bit of gas to pass him, like 50% throttle, went from 3k rpm to 4.5k and felt the engine knock....freaked me out so tried 2 more times and the check engine light came on, got to a gas station right when a huge cloud of smoke started to form behind me, the car wouldn't stay on and kept killing, had to leave it at a gas station. So now I'm pretty annoyed, I'm not sure how the lemon law applies to a car of my age, even though it is still under warranty, but i haven't really had it for maybe a month out of the past 4. That or i want a brand new motor, and ecu.....

God dam man, your gonna have to fix it yourself if you want it done right. I wouldn't want to deal with them anymore.

That really f'n sucks. Lemon Law doesn't apply being your vehicle is well beyond the time frame of a new vehicle.

Has anything been done tune wise to this engine since they installed the shortblock?

Speaking of engine almost time to do my timing belt and tensioner next month. Just got to get the parts from Pence and find a weekend.

nothing, i never took it above 3k. except for a few times, went to about 6k every 50 miles once, after i had 300 miles on the block. So i went to 6k about 5 times now.....i have no idea what is going on but i need a dealship that knows what they are doing to fix it, at this point it has been torn apart and but together, and had a bit of hands in the cookie jar. Rather a new complete motor with a new ecu and they can have mine and do research on it to find out why my motor is having issues.
