Default NWIC Revival Thread

Let's get this place alive again! Maybe we can arrange a meet before snow flies too. There's a ton of knowledge in NWIC, and more than a few great people also. Let's use this thread as a way to talk about stuff. I'm pretty sure the mods haven't even looked at NWIC for awhile. It's been dead months. Let's keep it civil and have at it gents (& ladies).

Let's find out where the most central spot of everyone is and get a meet going!

I still come here hoping to see something. It's becoming more and more rare. It seems like me not having a facebook has dropped me out of the Subie community.

I'm in Portland. I go to a few meets a month. the red door meet has a great subaru community. I'm also organizing a driving club. I will check back here regularly. What is everyone driving with what mods?

2016 wrx Stage 2 with grimmspeed tmic and GS EBCS sitting in a box just waiting for my charge pipe then off to Cobb for a pro tune. Debating TGV and EGR deletes, thoughts?

I am contemplating a tgv delete myself but it's a little more involved than a lot of other mods. I didn't know what an egr delete was until you mentioned it and I did some research. I think it's a wise investment. I'm curious what your '16 weighs in at?

I really want to ride in your car when you get it tuned. I feel like the wrx with about 350-375 whp would be perfect for a dd

I'm in Olympia, there's a bunch of good spots down here for meets. Pretty centralized too

I don't know if I'll be hitting those numbers. I think 320whp is being optimistic.

You will if you do meth injection and a turboback exhaust. Or you'll be close.

Stock 99 NA 2.5rs over here... what's anything over 150whp like?

Glad to see movement in the NWIC. It's been neglected for far too long. I don't actually go to many meets since my work schedule is bogus.

Woo hoo NWIC activity!
Not sure if the assigned mods pay attention to in here or not. I'm pretty sure they do. Lets make them work and get some topics going. (I am not assigned to this room, I do Old School and Baja)

I am still driving my 2005 Baja Sport with Brat jump seats in back
I just picked up a 1996 OBS from my mom for $1.00 Its the car I got my drivers license on back in 1997, got into all kinds of high school shenanigans in high school in (until I got my GL... but when the GL broke which was often I drove the OBS) and took on a spring break road trip in college. Pictures of the OBS once its lifted!!!

I pay attention Unless it's breaking a rule, I just don't care. Most of the main NWIC stuff is pretty much hands off unless there's titties involved. Classifieds get much more attention.

Anyway, with the rise of Facebook groups etc... all of the regional forums are seeing a huge drop in activity. Personally, I prefer a forum for proper group discussions, but I'm just a grumpy old man apparently.

I can't do the Facebook group thing. There's absolutely no formatting and its a poor environment. We are doing the Lord's work here gents!! Bringing back NWIC
