Default Over 2300 Subaru Enthusiasts Gathered at Wicked Big Meet 2011

BOSTON, MA, June 21, 2011 (SubieEvents, LLC) – Over 2300 enthusiasts gathered amongst over 1300 Subarus at Stafford Motor Speedway for the 6th annual Wicked Big Meet. The event broke last year's attendance record by over 300 cars and represented a 30% increase in attendance. Wicked Big Meet is made possible by Subaru of New England, and passionate Subaru enthusiasts from all over the Eastern half of the US, and even as far as Nebraska. The event is America's largest Subaru enthusiast festival.

This year, Wicked Big Meet was moved from Massachusetts to Stafford Motor Speedway, Connecticut. The move marked the first time event has been held outside of Massachusetts, and also the first time has been held at a racetrack. The new venue resulted in an increased showing of vendors from New York and New Jersey and contributed to over 40 vendors taking part. Some vendors reported several thousand dollars in sales while others were onsite to provide product education and technical advice. Chris from Killer B Motorsport stated, "The WBM has become a great venue for product Q & A sessions with end users of all kinds. Invaluable for sharing information and receiving customer feedback."

More than just a car show, Wicked Big Meet showcased Subaru-centric entertainment including an exhaust competition, tech seminars, all-Subaru car show, thousands of dollars in giveaways, and debuting in 2011, race car ride-alongs by NASA Northeast, AZP Installs, and EFI Logics. The program gave enthusiasts a first hand experience riding in a fully prepared racecar driven to its full potential on a closed racetrack.

This is the second year that Wicked Big Meet has been under SubieEvents, LLC management. Built on experiences from 2010, and the years prior, SubieEvents has evolved Wicked Big Meet to provide a greater experience for the staff, vendors, and attendees.

"I'm very fortunate to have such a highly motivated and capable team. The Wicked Big Meet staff executed so well – it was by far the smoothest year, and I think the proof is in the results," commented Robert Champion, Director of Events at SubieEvents, LLC. of the overwhelming response at Wicked Big Meet. "Combine that with overwhelming support from vending sponsors and a dense crowd of incredibly enthusiastic Subaru owners, it's really no surprise this event grows by the hundreds every year." The Stafford Motor Speedway and the CT State Police praised both the staff and the attendees as well.

This July, SubieEvents will turn its focus to the Big Northwest Subaru Meet, slated to be the largest Subaru specific meet in the Pacific Northwest. Located at Pacific Raceways, just outside of Seattle, WA, Big Northwest is new for 2011 and will feature vendors, clinics, and entertainment that will bring Subaru enthusiast oriented content across the country for a West Coast audience. Had a great time driving to and back from Baltimore, MD... Best part of the meet was the race car ride along and some great deals on subie parts.

Sweet. You guys are lucky you have so many states to pull from and so much support out there.

We've never had that big of a showing from SOA at any of our meets. Had a local dealership come out last year and a couple people come out from SOA a few years ago but we didn't get huge balloons and isht! And we're no small potatoes. Not 2300... THAT'S AWESOME!.... but we've had nearly 500 cars and probably close to 1000 people before. And that's just from the Bay Area. LOL!

Love that the suby love is still this active!

And that would be why you are in the midwest, the land of farmer's daughters and shotgun weddings, right? Don't hate on the ladies from the Subiegirls.com forums. They are some of the most dedicated, hard working Subaru enthusiasts that you might ever find. I have actually met some of them in person at SubieFest and they are real sweethearts. Don't be a douche and turn into "That Guy," because I am pretty sure that you aren't any kind of fashion model either.

404 fugly not found.

While I'm sure that a classy, tactful guy like you has supermodels banging down his door 24/7, girls who know cars are cool.

And speaking of SONE, if I lived in New England, I would buy my car out of state just so I wouldn't have to give a nickel to Ernie Boch.
