Im gonna copy and past most of this from subaruforester.org but I'm sure you all will appreciate it!
Well FINALLY after 5 months of looking i found and bought my dream forester. This is hands down the hardest car i have ever had to track down. Im usually the guy my friends go to in order to find a rare part or certain car they want since I'm damn near on every forum known to man haha. However i went through 3 different forester but every time i got close to buying one something happened. First car i was second waiting in line to purchase and it sold, Next was out of my price range (25,000 LOL) and third one i had a down payment made but hours later dealer called to say the AWD was broke :shake:. At that point i gave up. I was so pissed i didn't sleep a wink that night. Then a gift from the car gods, I got an email from Dan (k44mudfootball) that next morning saying the buyer back out and asked if i was still interested. 12 hours later i booked a flight to San Jose CA to buy this gem. I arrived at the air port and Dan was nice enough to pick me up and off we went, After some small talk and introducing each other we went to a small parking lot to get down to business. After checking out how mint and well maintained this car was i was sold. Dan kept every receipt over the past 4 years of everything that was done to the car, I was honestly shocked (very rare to find now a days). So signed some papers and the car was mine. Flying out of state and road tripping a car back home has always been a dream of mine and what better place to go then California? So the FXT and I buckled up and hit the 30 hour and 2,095 mile drive home...but first you know i and to stop at my favorite burger joint.....In-N-Out After clogging my arteries, i hit the road again. Only to hit a really bad snow/rain storm in the mountains of cali. Next was the first time of many fueling the unicorn :bacon: From here on i was just lost on how beautiful this country really is so here is some random pics from the west coast [url=http://s130.photobucket.com/user/s2000101/media/DSC_0397_zpsefac3426.jpg.html] |
