The play of light and dark on the surfaces is particularly nice with that blue color.

I don't understand the problem here, that curtain is just for aesthetics. Behind that area is not the engine compartment, there are harnesses and steering components. There is a firewall that separates the engine compartment and the cabin. I wired my remote start, so I spent a lot of time in there, I can assure you that there isn't a problem with the layout.

OK. I must have been mistaken when I thought I saw daylight from my open hood through there. When I get a chance I'm going to check it out again.
If you guys (and gals? Any gals, there?) are right, I'll breath a huge sigh of relief. |

I had the same thing happen with a 12 oz coffee yesterday. Can't use the rear cupholder, because the sliding armrest is usually over it. I guess I'll have to get larger coffees to avoid the problem...darn...

When I bought my previous car used at 2.5 years old it had a tint shop sticker on the window. Except for a small gouge where something metal must have hit the passenger window, the tint was still fine 12 years later when I traded the car. As long as the installer gets the edges stuck to the window, the only issue I've seen with tint is the possibility of scratching the film.

For anyone inquiring about the tint, I have had it on all of my previous cars, and they have lasted until I have gotten rid of said cars. The Tintman in Monroe, CT for anyone in the area. $180 for the Impreza with a Lifetime warranty. Highly recommended. I cannot comment on replacing the defroster, as I have never had tint replaced And lastly, as for the cupholders, you guys saw the ones in the door right? Good for a bottle at least, I'm not sure about a coffee mug. |

tint looks great, mine will get the same treatment. good to know about orders for 12 being stopped, will have to call my dealership. might end up with the crosstrek after all if it is going to be october before 13's arrive. i have been exploring the mazda cx5 also, two month wait for those too.
having worked in an auto assembly plant, it shouldn't take more than two weeks to switch things over to the new model (at most) can do it on the fly when there are no big changes. i'm not mr porsche, who despised putting cup holders in his cars going to america ! coffee mug holder is a must. |

The front diff drain is a t70 torx, and the check/overflow plug should be a 8mm/10mm hex, fill plug is 10mm hex. Can't remember exactly.

If anyone is interested in buying a auto-dimming mirror w/ compass, check out the interior classified section.

The torx bit is available for 2.99 @ advance/discount auto parts. 4.99 iirc @ autozone. Yeah just stick a half inch ratchet or breaker in the rear diff plug.

To refill the trans get a funnel with a long piece of tube small enough to fit in the top of the transmission dipstick hole.

I need to go get the torx bit. Harbor Freight sells a drain plug kit that includes a 13mm square socket which is what the rear diff looks like it takes. http://www.harborfreight.com/12-piec...set-94961.html |

I haven't measured it, but a half inch ratchet does just fine. Then all you need is one tool and a torx bit.
