And I hardly believe the differences in paint thickness is visible to the human eye. And how would paint "feel" thicker?

I could see this. I wasn't impressed with it initially, either, but I think it had a lot more to do with the fact that it wasn't MY car. Apparently the BRZ shines when you're pushing it or just simply turning, so it wouldn't be very engaging to drive where you have more straightaways than turns. During my daily route to work the BRZ would be a blast since there's a long, wide turn, several swooping curves and two roundabouts I negation with each day. |

It has a different platform as the Impreza. Not arguing the suspension type, I'm saying the cars themselves are completely different. Especially when it comes to interior room, ride height, drive train, usability, etc.

Just brought my doggie for a ride in the new car... he's light haired and now my black interior looks really unappealing (also, the seat materials don't make vacuuming dog hair easy I have learned).
Any recommendations for a good dog-friendly rear seat cover? |

http://www.amazon.com/Outward-Hound-Back-Hammock-Black/dp/B000MD58MA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339273588&sr=8-1 It's a great product- affordable, easy to install, and it protects the back of the front seats if installed as a "hammock". You can also just attach it to the rear headrests and have it lay over the seats and part of the floor. |

Took the car in for the first oil change at 3k (next one scheduled for 7500) I asked them to check the rear suspension and i told them that i had 1" spacers to raise it back to stock height. So after all is said and done they said they couldnt find anything wrong with the suspension and said it was within height specs. I asked if they removed the spacers and the 17 year old oil lube guy was clueless (nice to see they have the most experienced and brightest work on my vehicle) and said he did (I know you cant see them unless you jack the car up) The Parts manager told me to come back at 7500 and they will check it again. Looks like ill just have to remove the spacers before i come back.
Would have been nice for him to return my seat to the original position but thats just minor bitching |

Installed the roof spoiler tonight and the front underspoilers last night. Underspoilers were easy; the roof spoiler was more work but went pretty smoothly except for my 12 mm drill bit catching on the sheet metal and mangling the holes a bit. I was able to clean up the holes without too much trouble though and the rest was fine. I took pictures of the install since someone was asking for that; I'll post them tomorrow probably. Super happy with the way the car looks now.

Because its sagging so much i had to put 1" spacers to level it out again. If it sags out of spec it can cause abnormal tire ware on the front. Part of the Suspensions job is maintain ride height if its no longer doing its job then it can be perceived to be faulty.
I know the spacers are a temporary fix so i wanted to see if it would be replaced under warranty. Ill take it to a suspension shop if they dont do anything next time. Last edited by auskip07; 06-10-2012 at 04:04 AM. |

If you want suspension fixed under warranty it would probably be a good idea to return it back to stock before you bring the car to the dealer to check it out.

Actually, you should bring it in 'before' you modify it to have it checked out if you want it serviced under warranty.
Once you start modifying the suspension, they can claim your modifications are the cause of your problem. |

I had told them that i had spacers because it was sagging. You would have thought they would have removed the spacers to check the suspension sag. It takes lifting the side and pulling them out 5 min for each side in no way did rubber coil spacers alter the suspension in a negative way it just reduced the settling. It wont affect the warranty status. Taking it to an independent shop will affect the warranty though

Most people who think there is an issue don't try to repair it themselves. See if they think it is an issue then do your own work if they say it meets spec and you don't agree |
