Default 2012 Impreza STI concept art

This is a concept artist's rendition of what the next gen STI may look like if the base Impreza concept makes it to production.

Personally, I think it puts the 2011's to shame. This artist should work for Subaru.

Vote... discuss.

Front fascia looks a bit too busy. That and it looks like a 4 door celica with a hoodscoop. I'd still buy it tho lol

Looks like a girl's car, i.e. Celica with a wing.

^1 Agreed. Definitely more aggressive however that pic is stretched out horizontally. From a second glance, it seems a bit off. Lower and wider than it should be.

Looks like just about every other car being produced now. Whatever happened to cars that had a clean look to them and didn't look like they were given huge doses of steroids

Subaru should jump on the retro-styling bandwagon and make cars that resemble the GC/GF

Very cool and aggressive looking, but I can't make a call without multiple angles.

I think they should leave the body the same and work on designing a motor that sucks less.

Lol, you guys are saying 2012 "concept" like the 2012 is already being produced or months away from it. I'm sure their design for 2012 is already finalized.

that's funny you say that...i saw a baseline impreza next to a corolla s yesterday. They were the same color and almost looked identical. I was highly pissed to see it.

I like the new concept, but as others have said, too busy in the front, and I don't care for the bulbus taillights.

I'm pretty sure this concept came out even when people were speculating about a possible 2011 body change. Hence, like all concept art, the artist's guess is as good as my pit bull's.

lmfao!!!!

highly doubt it....I agree with the other guy though.....leave the exterior alone and make the motor more reliable.

+1 that it looks like a Corolla... the back quarter panel looks especially awful.

it looks like the backseat would be for midgets only. it might as well be a coupe.

i would rather see something like this than the concept in the op:

Eh, for a concept its interesting, but if I envision that on the road in real life I wouldn't be a fan of it. Plus, the lack of fog lights doesn't sit well with me.

Also don't know how I feel about tail lights that pop out that much from the body of the car.
