Default Congratulations Turn In Concepts, Nasioc's Top Scoob 026 TARMAC !!

A bit of background.

Our car started life as a plain old 04 wrx that was purchased by the owner for the pleasure of back road driving and some autox after a very severe motocross racing accident involving broken vertebrae. Cars were seen as the safer alternative to motorcycles at the time, but the eventual state of the car in its current form had not even been dreamt.

After a couple successful seasons of autox where the car consistently one of the fastest cars regionally, we decided to enter the car in the 2009 One Lap of America. At that time it was essentially a stock looking wrx making about 390whp on what was a pretty street oriented setup as can be seen in the photo below. We went on to win our class, Rookie of the Year and place 4th overall and, more importantly, surprise the rest of the competition. Following our success we decided to enter the car in the Redline Time Attack and the rest is history.

In three short years we have built one of the fastest Time Trial race cars in the country from the ground up. It has single handedly brought new and loved products to the Subaru market that would not exist without the effort and dedication of Team TiC!

Our accomplishments are as follows:

2009 One Lap of America - 4th overall, rookie of the year, 1st in class
2009 Redline Time Attack - East Coast Street Class Champs, National Street Class Champs, many event wins
2009 25 Hours of Tunderhill - Entered and ran for 16 hours...and learned much.
2010 Redline Time Attack - East Coast Modified Class Champs, many event wins
2010 Grassroots Motorsports Ultimate Track Car Challenge - First in class, 7th overall
2011 NASA TT - Great Lakes TTR Champs, 3rd Overall TTR Nationals
2011 Grassroots Motorsports Ultimate Track Car Challenge - Fastest Subaru, Fastest Turbo, Fastest AWD, 10th Overall
2012.....Just wait!

Car just before the One Lap of America in 2009

2010 25 Hours of Thunderhill Photo shoot. Car was featured on the Versus network as a team to watch and also appeared in a few international magazines.

At Sebring for the Redline Time Attack in '10. Despite the crazy Florida heat and having to rebuild the engine in the pits due to a defective Subaru crank we posted the fastest time of the weekend besting the World Racing Scions and Forged GTR.

Interior Shot

This last photo is as the car sits today and was part of a photo shoot we just completed. You will be seeing more of this series soon!

Sure was nice to take the overall win and FTD for that event.

Little bit of Mid-OH action for you guys. Check out the oil slick fun starting at about 2:25.

BTW, that is a 580 whp C6Z driven by many time NASA champ Danny Popp.

Little bit of VIR for UTCC action from 2011. Check out the speed through the climbing esses. The aero seems to be working well...

Fantastic looking aero changes!!! I'm glad to see you didn't refinish the burnt area on the hood.

Thanks to all who voted in this round of Top Scoob. It was a tough battle between many great cars and we are honored to have come out on top. Thanks for all the support for all these years.

Exhaust: It has a shorter down pipe that has a turn down to exit just under the flat bottom. I think it will be side exit next year.
