Default Tri state driving pet peeves

Hey all, I saw this thread regarding another area and wanted to see what the Tri state people have as driving pet peeves.
I have 3.

1.People who never use their blinkers ( I mean it is really that hard to flip a lever?) I can ALMOST see if nobody is around, but today I saw 3 cars turn off a major road in moderate traffic without any signal at all.

2. People who can't stay on their side of the road. Notorious cars include SUVs driven by soccer moms. the double yellow line is there for a reason.

3. everyone's favorite: tailgaters; you're not intimiadating me, if you get close enough to me, I won't disappear, and you're not gonna bump my car out of the way like in NASCAR, put your blinker on, change into the left lane, and pass me.

What are your driving pet peeve(s)?

Really, this kind of stuff happens anywhere, but my personal favorite are the jersey girls driving their civic/rsx/integra through tight traffic like they have some place to be, and every move they make I keep thinking "Crash, crash, crash, PLEASE crash so I can stop by the accident and let you know what a **** you are"

just driving around here in general sucks. I did not realize how much so until I lived in Oregon for a year and then moved back.

people that go from an empty slow lane into the fast lane for no reason?
or
People that drive slowly in the fast lane and won't pull into the slow lane.
those are my 2 most frustrating types of drivers.

I actually kept seeing on a daily basis one girl in her civic doing the above.

In my case, when a two lane road will turn into one lane just ahead, and there are a few cars on the left lane waiting for the light to turn green, then someone, instead of waiting in line, will go to the right lane and bybass everyone that waited patiently for their time to go.

I hate these bitches. They think they can properly drive. I, too, wish they'd crash so they can learn a lesson. Although, somehow, I doubt that an accident would make them realize this.

People sitting in the left lane, and not have a SINGLE clue that they need to get out of it...

Following close, flashing lights, horns, NOTHING gets them to remove themselves from cruising in the left.

Bothers me to no end. STAY RIGHT, PASS LEFT, in more than 1 "tri" state, it is against the law...apparently its a law/good habit no one knows...

I LOVE the people with a CLEAR right or center lane, signaling and changing left into a different lane for absolutely no apparent reason.

What are these people thinking???

My job allows me to see every situation you can imagine driving an automobile in the TriState area.

*Stereotypes are for a reason- because they are always half true.

1.)People who drive Minivans, SUVs, and Jeeps are faster(or HAVE to be faster) than anyone else on the road around them, at any time, in any place.
2.)EVERY guy I see driving a Hummer is on the phone.
3.)EVERY guy I see driving a convertible Mercedes is on the phone.
4.)EVERY guy that has Commercial plates, driving a pickup truck, is on the phone, and doing 85mph in the fast lane.
5.)It is amazing how women automatically start dialing their phones the moment they insert the key into the ignition.
6.)Just because you are doing the speed limit, that does not allow you the right to monopolize the fast lane. Get the hell out of my way.

Old people who drive erratically! usually too slow, but no turn signals, hunched over the wheel with a death grip, etc...If you collect social security you should be retested for a drivers license!!! They're a danger to themselves and everyone around them...I was turning off a major highway in my town and this old woman comes barreling out of the street i was turning down! (this would not be a bad thing if the street wasn't a ONE WAY, exiting traffic only!) yea needless to say she almost killed me and my passanger...

In addition to all those, I hate when someone is turning right down a side street and first goes ALL the way over to the left side of the lane before making the turn, and it's even worse when they do the opposite making a left. They hold up traffic because, for some reason, they had to pull all the way to the right to make their left turn. Just pull towards the way you are making the turn, so everyone else can pass!

Ok picture this with me. You're on a two lane road and about to pass the person in front of you(slow lane of course), then you realize there is a person next to you crawling along. The person in the left lane and person in the right lane are traveling at the same exact speed like its the slow race of the century. After a while cars are backed up behind you and the other lane and the only way the congestion is relieved happens to be when one driver has to turn off the road FINALLY. Definitely one of my pet peeves along with a few others mentioned above.

Lets see here.... people who cut you off to go 15 mph slower than they or you were. The non-use of blinkers. The non-use of blinkers when someone is cutting me off from passing them. Old people who are probably too old to drive safely anywhere and always swerve into your lane. Of course the large suv's and minivans that cross the double yellows and almost collide with you head on but thank god that you have enough skill and experience to see them coming and avoid the crash. Various potholes on certain streets and highways that could swallow a mini. Oh and please don't forget the rubberneckers that have to slow down to see what is going on at a accident but have no intentions of stopping to help. And last but not least, the people who are doing the speed limit but slow down anyway when they see a officer or trooper that allready has someone pulled over...... even if they are on the other side of the highway!!! Thanx for letting me vent.

not to mention how when your driving behind a commercial vehicle your constantly afraid that the lawn mower which is propped up on the wheel barrow hanging off the lader 2 feet above the trailers hitch will some how even though it would seem soo impossible for the guys who threw it there to dislodge itself into your windsheild off a bounce.

OO and the ******* that when you honk at them because they are about to hit some other car slows down to 5 mph to teach you a lesson for honking and disturbing the peace.

There are 2 things that really tick me off lately:

1. When there are 2 lanes turning left at a light and the guy on the inside lane drifts to the outside instead of maintaining his own lane.

2. People at 4-way stops that try to sneak through along with the car in front of them.

Three cultural bad habits I see around here:

1. Exiting at the last minute from the left or center lane and cutting in front of everyone else in line to exit.
2. Driving side by side at a slow speed on a divided highway and ignoring others wanting to go on by. Today I saw three cars side by side near I95 Exit 16 and lots of cars piled up behind them waiting to go by.
3. SUVs going down narrow roads with one tire in the opposing lane.
4. Passing in the right lane until they invariably come upon a slow or entering vehicle and then taking big chances to get back into a center or left lane.
