so finally efr 7163 has been relished in match bot, though I must say that I am not so impressed about it, though it say it is a development map but rated to max 60lbs/min, the resistance against surge is not that good like the efr 6258 is outstanding, must say I am little confused what they have been thinking of.
Turbin part seams nice though

So anymore news? Its the last month of Q3 now... lol
Im very interested in getting one of these, just kinda hesitant with the new 60lb/min version as I doubt it will respond like the OP's 7163 setup. Do you guys have any dyno sheets of the most current 7163 turbos that are out for testing? |

I will be picking up my FR EFR6758 kit tomorrow (parcel company south of the border - I am from Canada).
Might still be a month or two til I have info on it, but I will try and provide whatever people want for logs (comparisons to stage2+) etc.... |

Yeah make sure you guys post it up, im very curious to see the power and response of efr6758 setups also.
Im confused thoe, they used to show the efr6758 being a 49 lb/min turbo, but now on matchbot it shows it as a 53 lb/min turbo. Did they change the design of the wheel and make a new version (like they did with the 7163) or is it still the same old turbo and they just changed the flow rating? |

I am in break in right now hit about 5-8psi but I swear it spools as fast as stock turbo. I got full build 272 cams and I am doing a race gas map so we shall see how far we can push it. Tune will be on a mustang dyno too.

I wanta see what it will do when that turbo is pushed, you should make 450-460whp on race gas with a good setup.
Also do you know what changed to put the 6758 from 49lb/min to 53lb/min recently? I want to see non wastegated vband .64 exhaust housings to be made for this thing already |

Motor builder and tuner all said 600 miles so I do what they say. Not in a rush to ruin my large investment.

Sorry to say I wont be able to make it (got really sick) but Jon and Jeremy will be there holding things down with our Freakoboost F150 !

Full-Race will have the EFR 7163's first and we do have a decent amount due to arrive. Anybody interested, the reservation list is the best way to ensure that you will get one of these, there is no cost to be on the list of course. |

6758 made 408/420 on pump and 420/440 on 110 race gas. These where on a mustang dyno that a stock said read about 210/215ish. I will post graph when I get a digital copy. We over laid it on a stage 2 sti and it spooled 200 rpm later so basically no lag. Turbo would not hold till redline 23psi peak drop to 20psi

No they are built heads with Kelford 272 cams, 1mm bigger valves, springs, retainers and ported head. Build bottom end.

can you verify its the 179284 "stiff" actuator and tell me how much preload did you have on the actuator? |

ok, good.. with the built motor and big cams theres obviously a lot more exhaust flow than the stock motor/head/cam setups this kit is usually run on.. Making that power and spooling ~200rpm later than stock is solid!!

Is the 200 rpm later spool attributed to the turbo, or to the bigger cams/valves? Thanks |

Waiting for email digital copy of graph best I have. That shows a 2012 sti stage 2 and my car. My mods are.... Efr6758 Full race uppipe dp header Gimmick motor sports catback Grimmspeed 8mm manifold spacers Aps 70mm intake Aps inlet Aps dr525 fmic Aps fuel lines Injector dynamics top feed conversion 1000cc Dw 320 fuel pump Manley 100mm pistons Manley h beams Kelford 272 Manley 1 mm oversized valves Manley springs retainers Apr head studs I am sure I am forgetting something but feel free to ask away. This turbo spools super fast makes amazing power through the whole power band. Turbo sound super amazing and bpv noise is badass. Big thanks to fast of west Chester they helped me with everything. Message them to get your efr/full race needs. Also TpG tuning in pa they did amazing job with tune! |

Just attribute it to the setup. It would be real hard to quantify what actually made the change because 1 + 1 doesn't always equal 2 when combined. I don't think the claim was ever made that it would spool just like the stock turbo anyway.

Cams typically move powerband to the right so cams didn't affect spool helped topend. And I believe they call 6758 the stock turbo killer and I believe it did that by making double power then a stock sti!
