I went to Clark back in May of this year after a local shop completely hacked up my car while performing a turbo install, quoted to take half a day but took more than a week with one excuse after another. When all was said and done they ended up removing both purge control solenoid valves, installing a manual boost controller (without the locking screw), tunring off all CELs and giving me a ****ty tune. I wouldn't have minded so much if they told me what they did or even gave me those stock parts to reinstall.

Needless to say, i dare not bring the car back to them to try and fix. Instead, I turned to Clark because of the reputation he has both here and iwsti. I can't say thank you enough for the time and effort he put into helping me piece the car back together, reinstall most of the evap system, and get rid of CELs the right way. Everything was by email and there was always a response back to me within an hour, even at night and over the weekend.

6 months later
After a Crawford AOS v2 install, temp changes in the area and some other minor tweaks to the car, I asked Clark to take a look at some recent datalogs becuase the car didn't seem to be running as well as I thought it should and within 20 mins he had sent an updated tune free of charge and knew exactly why the car was running different.

Clark, thanks for the great support and I will be uploading the dynos as soon as I get a chance to take the car in.

this is a LONG standing rule for ALL vendor review threads

Just had Clark Tuner Finish up my "SPEED DENSITY" E-tune as of yesterday, and all I can say is wow!!

2012 WRX Stage 2
SPT CBE
Cobb AP
Cobb SF intake
Perrin (Catted) DP

He did the Speed density tune on my car and the only thing I regret by doing so is why the hell did it take me so long to go to him! He did a fantastic job and this car hasnt ever ran so smooth even when it was stock and new. Currently has about 8k on it now just been rocking Various OTS maps from cobb because like many I had tons of "PO244" codes damn near throwing me into the windshield when I would do a 3rd gear or higher pull.

Once I went to Clark I did as he asked w/ three logs and the first map he sent me that was already eliminated and running better, from there we continued to do logs throughout the week emailing back and forth and he would change/tweak it and it just kept getting better!

I have been reading some of latest reviews and don't understand where people had any problems with his service because I am 110% satisfied customer. He always wrote back in a timely manner didn't matter what time of day or night it was, explained things and also answered most of my questions I had.

I will definitely do business with Clark again and would recommend him to all my friends and there upcoming need's for tuning!

According to his software my car is putting down 303 WHP and 349Ftlbs torque @ 18.5lbs . Need I say more?...

Thanks again Clark Tuner for the great tune and making me fall in love with my car all over again!!!

Just had my 4th tune with Clark in the last 3 years.

I had done a timing belt, moved across the country with different gas, had it in storage for a year, and the car was running a bit rough.

Clark took the time to help me work out a misfire issue (had to run some seafoam and change the plugs to colder ones).

Car is running very smooooothly..... a key feature of all of the tunes I've had from Clark.

As always, he was very responsive to emails.

Thanks again Clark! - Ed

Edit: Followed up last weeks tune with a quick log/check from Clark today. My idle was just a touch off and Clark responded to my email with an updated map within 5 minutes!

Now THAT is customer service!

Update: the new map is so smooth at idle, you wouldn't believe it. Absolutely perfect. See Clark's Facebook page for a dyno plot.

Thanks again Clark - Ed

Talking 2009 WRX 91/ E85 Tunes El Paso by Clark Turner

I just had my 2009 WRX tuned by Clark Turner. Both on 91 and E85. He took the time to make my daily driver safe and reliable and not to mention power comes on smooth and pulls all the way to red line. Power is roughly 330 wh hp on 91 octane and 18 1/2 psi. Drive-ability is great! E85 tune yielded roughly 425 hp at about 4500 rpm but clutch started slipping just beyond that so left it at 23 psi. WOW!! I would like to say thanks to Clark Turner and you once again have done awesome awesome job on these tunes! I personally would not let anyone else touch my car. If anyone wants their tune done superbly the first time and reliable Clark Turner is who you want to tune your ride! Thanks again Clark Turner!!

Clark tuned my 2011 sti in El Paso running E85. All I can say is that I am extremely impressed and blown away by the smoothness of the tune and how excellent my car runs. Clark was extremely professional and very very helpful and supportive of all questions I had and did the job right. This is my very first experience with a professional tuner and I will never have anyone other than Clark work on my car from now on simply from the excellent experience I have had. I will right a more detailed explanation when I have access to my computer of the exact parts and tune and stats, but people need to know how great of a dude Clark is. Thank you again Clark.

Had my car tuned by Clarke a while back and car ran great! Developed some issues with my exhaust leaking which made the car act funny and sometimes die. In finally met him this past weekend and he tuned around my issue which greatly improved the car when stopping. He's a nice guy, down to earth who was willin to help me out an update to some of the newer software at no charge. Now it's up to me to fix the rest off my issues but I would recommend Clarke for someone looking for an ap tune

Talking 08 STi tuned by Clark Turner

New to the forum, not new to Subaru STi models! I have to say I'm very pleased with the tune on my car. She's running flawlessly after Clark dropped his knowledge into her! After reading about the horror stories and such when it comes to tuning and mishaps, i was a little hesitant, however after reading about and following Clark on social media, he came highly recommended. I took the advice given by Abel, who also knows his stuff, and couldn't be happier. I will be tracking the car for the first time on a road course this weekend, and will most definitely post here on the forum with the results.
Cheers!

Smile E85 EJ20T-swapped 1998 Foz tuned by Clark Turner

This was my first experience with getting a remote tune, and Clark did an excellent job. He walked me through the process and was very patient with me. The whole process probably took six weeks (boost leak issues I had to get sorted out) but he stuck with me and promptly replied to every log I sent him. It took us awhile, but he wanted to make sure we got it right.

The Foz runs strong and I am COMPLETELY satisfied! Next time I need a tune, I know where I'm going, no doubt about it...

Thanks again, Clark. You rock!

First logs sent. Car started right away with no CEL's. I would rather be that "last guy" and receive a quality product. Enjoy your Sunday with family.

Impreza WRX Excellent quality

I recently had Clark retune my car for the 4th time. I decided to upgrade to the SD rom and give SD tuning a shot. Clark has always been great to work with and brutally honest about the progress and/ or condition of the vehicle's tune and setup. I've read people's comments about him being "mean" etc but that's not the case, he's just honest and straight forward.
Anyway, he is usually done with most cars' stage 1-3 tunes in less than 5 runs. My car took him 8 runs and fought him the entire way, whether it was spark plugs or a boost leak he had patience to work with me until it was fine tuned and safe. He is busy and I know we all want our cars done in record time but on the off chance that he doesn't get to you within a couple hours don't become weary, he tunes full time on top of e-tuning.
His work ethic is more than admirable and the quality of his tuning via the internet is unparalleled. I will always choose him first and foremost.

My Review:

Prior to the tune my car was stock w/ cobb AP with aprox 13000 miles.
I researched for a while and did my homework, I wasn't impressed enough with anyone in San Antonio to tune my car. I taveled to EL paso to get the work and tune done with Clark Tuner while he was in town.

I had all the modifications done in El Paso days before the tune, I got the car tuned for 93 octane and E85. The morning after the tune a buddy and I with identical STis (CT Tuned) drove all 550 miles back to San Antonio with confidence (and three 5 gallon E85 jugs) I knew the car was solid and did not doubt it's reliability one bit.

Ive been driving the car for a few months now, no issues at all. Ive ran a few logs for assurance purposes and had nothing to be worried about.

Clark answered all my questions pre and post tune, Im very pleased.

I couldnt be happier with my STi, its definitely brought back the same thrill and joy of driving as when I first got the car over a year ago.

Clark: Thanks again, it was good meeting you and I plan on bringing my STi back to you next year for some more HPs

Mario

Clark just recently tuned my 2005 Sti with a new setup (went with an FP black) I must say the power band is solid all the way through to 75000 on 21psi through all gears with no knock issues. He was very helpful and got maps back to me in a timely manner even with all the other cars he was working on. I will continue to use him as a tuner when I decide to go with more parts.

My car never felt so smooth and powerful. Even my wife noticed without telling her anything. She asked me: "Did you do anything to clutch"? hehehe
He probably did more than 10 tune reviews.

I only have simple advice to people who complain and blame tuner for everything : DO YOUR HOMEWORK.
I actually like that he is answering in very short sentences. I rather have him spend time looking into my logs then creating thesis for people that should not even start modding their cars in the first place. He is a tuner not writer/philosopher.

So far SD map from Clark is my favorite mod.
Anyway here is Virtual Dyno of it. I know smoothing is 4 etc. But when I played with it on my computer even on smoothing 1 it was showing me some surreal numbers, like 410whp.

Just got done with a stage 2 etune with Clark. My car is running beautifully, with quite a boost from the Cobb OTS map. Clark was super patient and helped figure out some issues I had with the car during the process.

Definitely recommended if you're trying to decide on an etune.

Default My two cents

Clark is a great guy. I sent him a message while I was losing my mind attempting to tune my car because of a few mechanical problems I discussed with Clark. Minutes later, besides giving me the answers I needed to hear, he went out of his way to tell me his opinion on what I needed to do to avoid future problems.

He is a good teacher and I hope to keep in touch with him for years to come.

Did I mention he helped me out all FREE of charge? Again, great guy
