Hey everyone. Longtime lurker, finally getting around to posting. I've only been living in Columbia for half a year or so, moved down here from Tennessee last July.

Anyway, I own a 2008 STi and I recently purchased the GTworx RCE/Bilstein spring and strut combo and I want to install it asap! Is there a local shop someone could recommend to me? Or would anyone be willing to help me do the work myself? I can pay in beer.

Thanks.
-Will

I have changes suspension on a subaru like 4 or 5 times now but only on 2002-2007 cars. I could probably help if you go the DIY route.

You will need an alignment after. Might as well get some camber bolts also to get the specs you want.

Hey claymra ^ good to see a few familiar people on here still. Havent been on the forum in a few years. The Subaru scene at least on midlands nasioc post has seemed to die way down from what it used to be. I miss everyone getting together all the time for install days etc

Hey man- yea I miss it also. There are a few of us that meet up from time to time but it has been a while. Hopefully we can do something soon or all go up for an auto-x or something.

clay, looks awesome. Whats your mileage at now? I actually bought Josh's old bugeye from James a little while back. Its still in great shape except for the front clip needing to be resprayed. I still have the rs swap just need to find the motivation to put the engine back in the car. I was originally planning to sell it but have recently put so much money and work into it I may have to keep it and remain totally broke with two subarus

Checking in...thought this thread disappeared. Still pretty good turnout at Cars & Coffee in Sandhills.

Looking for a sedan roof rack if anyone has one.

Hey people I don't know that I may have met maybe 5 years ago one time at George's...

Do you guys have a weekly or does Columbia have anything going on for AutoX or anything of the sort? Getting stir crazy in Augusta and might see if I can drag some people with me out of town for a change of scenery.

Newbie here. I'm thinking about getting a catted (possibly catless) downpipe for my 2007 WRX. I know it might throw a CEL without a tune, and I might get some boost spiking. So should I bring it to a shop for a tune? Or do I have to buy an AP?

Ugh facebook... Maybe I will...

new guy, welcome to subarus! You'll need a tune. It's easier to install parts in groups as it makes the cost of a tune easier on the wallet. I think you can input some basic modifications in the AP and it can compensate accordingly? It's funny though, I never used it for that; always had a tuner poking around.

Fill out your info...and read this: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1169984

I was going to ask where a tuner was in the state, which was why I posted on here.
I completely missed the thread on tuner locations, lol. Sorry about that, thanks anyway man.

I think I misunderstood - I thought you were asking if you should do it or not as a whole, not whether you should get a tune or go the AP route. I'm special.

Anyone still in here?
It's crazy how everyone in the Columbia area either got rid of their Subaru or just maybe they are too busy and are not on the forum..
