Just throwing this out there, shot with a Mamiya 645 with some new lighting I'm working with. My clients really love this look.

Do you guys have any problems with chromatic aberration? I noticed it pretty bad recently in my pictures and I've never experienced it before..

Even though it is not cars . . . . I was up to other stuff this weekend. It is pretty bad around her head and some on her shoulders in this one: And then in this one around the globe lights to the right, less so on the small lights hanging in the left. But, I was trying to balance multiple lighting issues in these shots anyway. It is usually something I know when it is going to show up and where in the photo, I work with it the best I can in post, take a little solace knowing that even pros with much better equipment than I can afford deal with it as well, and hope someday to be able to afford better gear to deal with it less. |

I dig both of them, the tones in the first one in particular, but not digging the blurry obstructions in the foregrounds of both. I'm pretty sure they were deliberate, I would simply have preferred the photos w/o.

I always try and use a single focal point, none of that 27-37-100 or what ever focal points the cameras offer now. General at a lower aperture I find it works best. I didn't shoot/focus directly at the front end so the side and such kind of fades. I did a small crop as well, I was a smudge further away than the photo actually suggests. Not sure if I posted this one. D700 Zeiss 85mm 1.4f/ set at 2.0f/ ISo 640 1/25 no tri pod. Eric's Miata by willbrand!, on Flickr |

I really wish I brought my camera here while I'm away for training, I found some cool spots. It sucks when it gets dark at 4 o'clock though!

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-105 Kit 105mm Zoom 1/80 f5.6 ISO 200 I'm on Linux, so what little post processing I did is in on Gimp. All criticism is appreciated. I think I should have used tripod? Or steadier hand... Last edited by Bizko1288; 12-11-2012 at 10:38 PM. |

A tripod would've helped but I would've bump up the ISO to 400 to get the shutter speed up a bit. I also would've either taken a step to the right so tr lift pokes weren't growing out of the car or positioned the car more towards the middle of the road. Just my opinion.

^+1 and move to the right a little bit, putting the car off to the left side of frame allowing the eyes to follow the road
