What are the rules for the race/school in case of rain? I know that we stop for lightening, but I wasn't sure about just rain.

After the last event there was some discussion and I thought it was going to get added to DLB so you could pay for lunch along with your registration.
Not sure how that would work for those who pre-paid the season or those who register at the event.

If it hasn't been added I can collect on Sunday morning and deliver it during the lunch break. $8, exact change appreciated.
link to the particulars from the last event http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...&postcount=211

If the drivers school is like last year then the schedule is a bit more relaxed and there isn't the concern of having everyone back on time after lunch so the racing can start. Saturday you're on your own.

Here are the directions to Jordan Springs if you can't wait 'till Sunday. It's good enough to eat two days in a row.
Say 'hi' to the girls there for me.

I will say it right now.

If you cancel it, and move it to the next week. You will ruin my life!! I would have to kill myself if it weren't because I would be able to watch the Madrid Vs Barcelona game on Saturday!!!

If you move it, please make it later on if possible, because Im running at hyperfest the week after

Which hyperfest? The one at Summit Point isn't till Mid-June.

They try hard to find the hottest weekend to wear Nomex and helmets.

The real reason they like it hot is to score the secret local spectator wife-beater farmer tan line contest. I dunno, I just go for the fights.

Again, this weekend also has Latin American rallysprint date conflict so I'll be in racing in forest Sunday. If rallyx postponed till next weekend, may lose a driver to roadracing. There must be some way to increase the # of weekends during the summer.

It depends on how hard and how long it rains. When the clay at Summit gets a good soaking, it turns to grease, which is fun until you need to turn. Or stop.

Actually this weekend is also MARRS race #1 so if we are losing people to roadracing this weekend would be when we would lose them.

Yep, usually just move it back a week.

We'll keep an eye on the forecast and make announcements as necessary. We would try to make an announcement early Friday morning if we are postponing.

Watch here, FB, and the email list...

I think we do one day on Saturday, and the Sunday event gets pushed to be on the same weekend as the third event?

Saturday looks like the weather will be ok....40% chance of "scattered t-storms" so typical summer forecast. Sunday showing 70% chance of t-storms.

My concern is that from what I have heard, we have a lot of new drivers from Drift Nirvana and other events registering on the Saturday Test and Tune. They mostly drive RWDs, so I am hoping that they will continue coming and increase the amount of cars in our classes

We might drive with the RX7 at the Hyperdrive with NASA next week, so we might not make it if changed. But that's ok. I will at least be able to see the Barcelona Vs Madrid.

Looks like the forecast has improved with the noon update today, especially SUnday

Saturday: 72* and 60% chance of "scattered thunderstorms"

Sunday: 52* but only now a 30% of "few showers"

Let's do this!
