ROAD TEST: 2001 2.5 RS VS 2002 2.5 RS
Does anyone have stock road test data for these two cars?
The WRX seems to be in the lime-light (and it deserves it ) and I cannot locate any road test data on either of these two Normally Aspirated versions. I am new here and I want to purchase one of these soon. So I am curious of which one is better (cannot afford WRX ). Thanks

I bought a MY01 because I didn't like the looks of the MY02. The round headlights just don't do it for me. When I think of Subarus and their rallying legacy, I don't see round headlights. The MY01 looks more agressive (IMNSHO) with the "old" headlights and the (non-functional in stock form) hood scoop/vents.
Besides, I saved over $4K buying used - $4K that I plan to put back into the car with some performance mods. Plus, JaiMax nailed it right. Good luck finding a MY01 5 speed manual - I think I got the last one in Utah. WRX? Nice. Plus, you get a 1-year SCCA membership so you can really (legally) drive that little rocket. $25K price tag? Too rich for me. |
