I never thought of how useful window visors were till this past week. LOL ordered a set, and am awaiting its arrival. Anyone else have them? I got mines for $35 on eBay, and it uses 3M tape. I read that it's better then the clip ons from a past thread.

And I saw a picture of jourdanwithaU's car from back then Lol

I have em, but I got weathertechs. They fit into the window track, so no adhesive goes on the car itself - only on the weatherstripping in the track. They're more expensive, but I like how they work with the lines of the car - they hug the window much closer than the official Subaru guards.

I have the Subaru "JDM" rainguards I bought of some Japanese website. They are held on by clips and 3m tape. In all honestly from comparing the OEM USDM/JDM rainguards they look almost identical. Cost me $75

+1 on these. I have used the WeatherTech ones on various cars for years, including my current OBS. Love them and find them VERY functional on a car. I did have a pair of the 3M stick on ones and will never go that route again. I can take these off and put back on any time I want. And, they seemed to have even reduced wind noise on the highway around the windows some. Big fan of these. I like a little vented air when raining or cool out or leaving my windows cracked open parked in a parking lot and people not really being able to notice they are open...

Inline for the win.
The Weathertech raingaurds are by far the best looking option but they're all equally functional.

I've heard complaints about the Weathertechs falling out of the rear windows. I'm pretty happy with my stick on visors. My only complaint is that they're purple.

Does anyone know what's needed to run WRX front brake rotors? Can I get away with just WRX caliper brackets or do I need the whole caliper?

The rears are the same. In the front, the WRX Rotors are 18mm larger.

Yeah nevermind they are just Impreza specific. I would assume you would need the WRX calipers in order to fit the WRX rotors.

So just these for the right and for the left?

Seems too easy.

Yes, you need those and the wrx rotors of course. The Wrx models use the same caliper as us.

Lol I have so many of those battle scars on my tyres I'm surprised they still hold air

Side question: when I Change brake pads is there a rule to go by?

EX: like tyres, I have to change them in pairs

One of my fronts is starting to have the metal to metal grind

I'd say change them in pairs. They're sold in pairs so...

How many miles did you get out of them?

It's definitely metal - maybe used to be a nail? Not sure how long its been there, as it's very rusted. It's shaved down exactly the same height as the tread.

I'm thinking I picked it up near the construction by the bridge I pass on my way to work.

55k and I'm still on original pads...

I'm starting to wonder how they're still there. You're not the first person I have head of replacing their brakes.

Changed my pads and rotors at 40k. Had shuddering on braking from 60mph. Figured I'd just redo everything. Cost me $220. Money well spent. A

I put hawk hps pads on at 20k miles all around, upgraded to Dba t3 spec Wrx rotors in front and Dba slotted in the back at 26k miles. Stock pads are complete garbage for even very minimal aggressive driving. No complains since.
