Site has been redesigned. Added a few new features, too.

Check it out: http://www.subiesport.com

Wow, lots of JavaScript, nested divs, embedded CSS and tables. This thing is put together like Frankenstein.

Why do we need to register to read anything?

Yes, pretty standard stuff that operates properly in all modern browsers. Criticism on that basis is just being myopic.

Registration is required for features because after the free trail period members are required to subscribe if they want to continue to have access to some of the online content. If you have issues with using embedded tables I can only imagine of what you'll make of that!

Rally reports, project cars, forums, rate-a-ride and some other sections don't require registration to view... just like before.

...a website that replicates all the content from the print editions. Articles that have hundreds of hours of work in them with solid facts focused on just one car -- Subaru. Keeping that up isn't cheap.

Our options for this were two. 1) Do it and charge a subscription fee so we can keep on doing it and even increase content beyond what we reprint from the print edition. 2) keep the magazine print only and just do an occasional post on the site. We opted for #1 because we think that is the much cooler option. It appears that many others feel this way too, since our initial paid subscriptions for the site have exceeded our expectations.
