2011 STI... After we bought the car I was explaining to my wife all the small things about the car.. Like the wiper defrosters and the headlight aiming nob. After about an hour in the car driving.. My wife said.. "Hey.. how do you raise the passenger seat so I can see out?" Ummm.. it doesnt adjust... "REALLY!?! 38K for this car.. with headlight adjusters and they couldnt put in a seat raise?!??! Dumb car!!"

Then.. took my boss to lunch a few months ago, and he got back out.. went to the front of the car and says.. "Wow.. that scoop is actually functional" I said.. "yea.. its not like those 'hot rod' cars with 'fake scoops'"

Alright people:

I partake in off-topic conversations in this thread quite often. That being said, they are usually smaller conversations with Drew that we then move on to PM if it's getting too long. However, this is getting very out of hand and I don't want to ruin this thread for everyone else. So, I'm suggesting that we make a new thread (whether it be in OT or in the Supporter forum) where we can all blabber on about this.

-

Anyway, a meet up here in Canada would actually be AWESOME. I'm serious. If we could get a decent amount of people up here, I bet you I could convince my sister to come to the meet. In exchange for this, I would ask that I receive a ride in some cars. The most power I've ever felt was 215chp in a huge M-Class Mercedes-Benz... I want to know what ~300whp+ feels like.

-

Oh, and that video of the Legacy... that made me cringe... a lot.

-

So, in summary...
  • I think we should all stop with the crazy OT posts in this thread.
  • If we would like to continue with this, we should make a new thread.
  • We should seriously organize a meet in Canada. Seriously.
-

The most important thing I want you to understand from this post?

STOP YOUR OT COMMENTS IN THIS THREAD. WE ARE RUINING IT.

Nope. We tried it out in OT and it obviously didn't work. This means that it just wasn't meant to be.

Now, let's all vacate this thread in order to not ruin it.

If we actually do want to have a meet up here, we could post it in the Canada regional forums.

I say Hamilton or GTA for a meet. TSC has some pretty good meets though

I showed my sister pictures of the first generation WRX.

Her looking at sedan: Wow that car is so ugly.
Her looking at wagon: Aww, I want to get a nice little car like this!!!!!!
Me: They're the same.

300whp on a street car is okay.

450whp on a 2700lb stripped race car is better.

lol

The most pleasurable care I've ever driven was not the fastest nor best handling. Though, it did have the best powerband.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...e-drive-review

Any gear you wanted at any speed and it picked up as though you were in the correct gear. Even in 6th at 20 mph.
