Default Installed the Ultimate Racing GT35r kit with Hydra: feels absolutely amazing

It took me three days to get this kit installed as there were soo many parts that I needed to swap out, but needless to say it was definately worth it. I get 14 psi at about 3700 RPM in 5th..not too shabby, but the turbo does not get into full boil until about 4500 rpm. That's not to say that it's a slouch below that (at least above 3700 depending on the gear), but it's a big turbo (GT35r .82 A/R housing). Pulls stronger and stronger to the 7200 RPM rev limit.. In fact it pulls stronger above 6000RPM than below. Power never ends.

As a comparison, from a roll at 40 mph with a stage II STI:

Stage 2 STI pulled almost 3 cars instantly until I got into boost. By the time I was through 4th I made up the 3 car deficit and pulled 2 cars. By the end of 5th (about 140 mph... Open 5 lane highway.. no traffic), I was ..no kidding.. what appeared to be 20+ car lenghts ahead.

From a dig to 100 mph I won by about 10 car lenghts.. this was against an STI that ran a 12.7@107 MPH..

Comparison to a 2002 Z06.. BTW from a roll these are really really fast cars, as I could never keep up with my stage II.

60 mph to 140 mph roll.. (at 60mph, I'm within 400 RPM of peak boost)

Z06 pulls 2 cars instantly until about 80mph.. I even it out at about 100mph and by 140 MPH I have about 10 car lenghts. (friends Zoh with an intake and PRT exhaust that ran 12.0@116)

All of this was done on 18.5 psi.

As I said, it feels absolutely sick , almost too fast for the road.

My set up is as follows:

2005 STI (5000 miles)
1. APS dr725
2. APS Tumbler deletes
3. Ultimate Racing GT53r kit with coated piping and custom braided lines and turbo heat shield.
4. Tial 44mm wastegate
5. Dual HKS SSQV's
6. PE 850's (idle is perfect)
7. Toyota twin turbo pump
8. APS 3.5" catback (I couldn't beleive this bolted up to the 3" downpipe, but it did..., soon to be a Greddy EVO2 .. APS was waaaay too loud with this turbo.. no more backpressure or muffling from the turbo
9. Element Tuning Hydra ..good bye MAF (previously had the Street Tuner and UTEC)
10. Fujitsubo equal lenght header (getting coated right now)
11. Hydra aquamist (on the way) should be another 60 whp at the same boost level when tuned, care of Phil at Element Tuning .. can you say 475WHP at 20psi on pump.
12. Blitz sbc-id and power meter

+ lots of car stereo and other stuff.

I'll post pics tomorrow.

The only thing that I'm worried about now is popping the block. I just can't beleive that the stock block will hold up to this abuse for too long. So for now, I'm planning on running about 17.5 PSI most of the time and setting my blitz sbc-id to scramble at 22psi when needed (pump gas) My $.02.
