What is the best way to fight a photo ticket from out of state? Someone has to actually serve you in person correct? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

if no one serves you, you can ignore it, but if youve done anything to acknowledge the ticket like call in, youre ****ed.

Just order one of these replica plates with the license plate number of somebody who you hate that drives a car like yours and blow through at 150 mph.

watch out, Tempe is hiring some kids to drive around and serve photo tickets.
After arguing because the kid wanted to hand me papers, he ended up leaving it at the doorstep. Is that legally considered "served"?

The proposed date to end Arizona's speed-camera program on highways statewide would be moved back to Sept. 30, 2010 under the latest version of pending repeal legislation, endorsed by a House committee by a 6-4 vote Wednesday.

The September date is later than a July date that was proposed last week to repeal the program that is intended to put 100 mobile and fixed cameras on highways statewide. Most of the cameras have been deployed.

Rep. Sam Crump originally wanted repeal immediately, but the Anthem Republican said he went along with changing his bill (HB2106) to delay the repeal because of concerns that the state could have to pay the contractor if the two-year contract is canceled early "Especially in this economic climate nobody wants to be writing a check from the state back to the company for early termination of the contract," Crump said.

He said the September date is two years from the program's 2008 launch and that July 2008 was when Scottsdale-based Redflex was chosen to operate the camera program.

The bill's new version also omits proposed new sign requirements. It still would prohibit speed-camera citations for motorists not going at least 11 mph over a posted limit. It also includes a blanket prohibition on use of the camera system's streaming video.

The Department of Public Safety has defended the program as a tool to help make highways safer. That was former Gov. Janet Napolitano's stated intent when she ordered DPS to begin planning the program in early 2007 but critics contend her motivation in including the program's authorization in a June 2008 budget law was to raise state revenue.

There also are concerns about motorists' due-process rights and potential for abuse of the system.

Rep. Jon Kavanagh, R-Fountain Hills, said the program is controversial and that its future deserves to be considered by the full Legislature.

Democratic Rep. Matt Heinz, D-Tucson, said the program make need changes but that it is needed to slow down traffic on Phoenix-area freeways.

Heinz, who voted against the bill, said the Phoenix-area freeways scared him and were "very dangerous as far as I'm concerned."
