Spiralmax: good or bad?
A friend of mine showed me this product called the Spiral max (www.spiralmax.com) where they say that you can supercharge any car. Works on all vehicles and can obtain as much as 35 more hp, and better gas mileage. It doesn't void the warranty and is legal to sell in all 50 states. Anyone here use it and if so, how did you like it?

Well, for the price it will do about what you pay for it which amounts to almost nothing. 36HP increase? Yeah right, please don't tell me you people would believe that

I think this has been discussed here before... Let's review:
1. A "supercharger" without any moving parts. 2. 30+ HP increase for less than $100. 3. Nobody here has one yet (that I know of). Sounds like a hoax to me... In fact, I think that putting one in your intake would just cut down on the air flow. *shrugs* Just my opinion, I could be wrong. |

I think SCC ran a article doing some dyno tests on spiral-max. If I remember how the article read I think that they said in some applications they actually lost power and gas milage. 36HP for $100???-for a little intake insert??? Give me a break. You want more power? You got to pay to play. My 2 cents.
