Is anyone running a hitch with a Prodrive axle back? I am looking at either the factory or Curt hitch and need to know if I will have to use longer hangers.

That means I may be able to get away with using the stock hangers since I am running the oval tip. Fingers crossed.

Just installed a Torklift Ecohitch 2" receiver on my '14 outback. There are 2 options for install; one where you enlarge holes in the trunk or remove the bumper for frame access. I chose to remove the bumpers. Install was a breeze. It came with 4 mild steel spacers. Even though no one will ever see them, I didn't want them to rust, so I powder coated them (harbor freight powder coater) Other than that, really straight forward and the hitch is completely hidden, except for the receiver.

For everyone that is concerned with blocked tail lights, there is a product on the market, the first of its kind, the transfers the stop, turn and tail lights from your vehicle to the outside of the bike rack via a wire harness. It also has a license plate holder.

Looking to put a hitch on my 2012 wrx sedan. I know uhaul and Curt make a class 1 hitch (2000lb) limit...
Anyone know if uhaul motorcycle trailers hook up with the small 1.25 inch receiver or does that not matter and it's the "ball size" that counts ? |

Anyways on to your question, ha yes it's all about the ball size! The ball size basically changes depending on the trailer. You just need to make sure that the uhaul trailer and item you are hauling is less than the 2000 lb weight limit. 2" is pretty standard I have a small little trailer I have to haul tires around with and it's 1-7/8" but you can buy the different ball sizes at walmart for like 7 bucks so it's not a big deal. |

Which hitch is everyone using for an 08+ hatch? Seems like there's so many different options available. Is there one that is pretty hidden and easy to install compared to the rest?

Some are very hidden but more difficult to install, lots of details in this thread.

This was my setup. Boat and trailer weigh very little, maybe 800 lbs.

Before I ask questions I'm gonna finish pilfering through this thread....installing a tow hitch is a much cheaper option than buying a truck.

Has anyone towed a 4x8 or 5x8 enclosed trailer with their wrx? I'm going to have uhaul install a hitch and I'm looking to buy a trailer for a long haul of just household stuff and some tools etc. I don't want to rent a uhaul trailer because they are so heavy. I know the owners manual say's don't do it but it's really the cheapest option right now. The next thing would be to tow my wrx on a flatbed behind a uhaul truck but I would rather not do that unless I have to. It's a 2013 wrx sedan. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Question... I ordered a Curt hitch from Amazon but I noticed that the Uhaul hitches are also made by Curt but through Uhaul they are about $40 dollars more. Are they the same hitch or is there something different about the Uhaul one?
