So, I leave work and drive about 2 miles to the Turnpike...All the while, winding out the gears to about 7k and double clutching as I shift...I get on the turnpike and drive about 5 miles to my exit, no problem shifting...I pass the toll booth and wait at the light...Green so I go...Theres a slight hill that I need to climb approaching, I'm shifting up to second and the shifter doesn't go into 2nd...It pops right back out into neutral...No 2nd Gear at all...3rd it is and I lug up and over the hill...I have all my other gears and everything is fine but no 2nd...I drive about another 4 miles to my home and think I blew up my tranny...

But, why will I have all my other gears and why are they working as they should without any noise???

Do you think I have a broken Synchro, Bent Shift fork(I know that they are more likely to break, but theres always a possibility), or stripped 2nd gear???

I even drove the car to work today without 2nd and without a problem...

In about 30 minutes, I'm about to leave work and drive home without 2nd...

I will have to drop the tranny soon, but I don't know what to expect...

I'll drain the fluid tonight and look for any metal on the plug as well...

Any ideas???

Zee

EDIT:

Everything is fine now??? W"T"F???
