so now that the car has been running for a couple months, do you have any upcoming plans to document the swap?

WRX wagon control arms, or WRX control arm bushings pressed into your stock control arms, or you will have to shim the stock control arm / stock bushing setup about 5-8mm to take up the extra width of the WRX crossmember.
Which approach did you take to get the crossmember installed? In looking at the crossmember pics, is the shim to take up the extra width between the control arm and the control arm mount on the crossmember? I'm just trying to figure this out since I've got conflicting opinions from both sides.

What preperatory measures did you take for the engine/tranny? I noticed you had some stuff torn down. Any suggested parts to replace before tossing the engine into the car? Thermostat, clutch, throwout bearings etc?

Also, thanks for all the pictures and I'm looking forward to reading any additional iformation you will provide.

That's really too bad. What did you do to spin the bearing?

Wow I forgot about this thread. Motor #3 (or would that be #4, or maybe even #5?) is on the way soon, then I just might sell the car.

Holy crap... to answer your question from six+months ago... ( almost a year after I sold the car) I shimmed the contol arm bushings on the back side with washers. Worked just fine.
