Washed the car today since the temps here in Philly were unseasonably warm. Still froze my ass off. Lol.

Anyway, I snapped some pics of the headlights (at night) for you guys. Also got a chance to level them after reading exactly how high I should make the cutoff.
(Park on a flat and level surface. Measure from the center of the headlight to the ground. -> The headlight center is marked by a tiny bubble in the OEM headlight lens. Park 25' from a wall. Whatever your measurement from the ground to the center of the headlight was should be your cutoff height.)

My headlight bubble measured 24" from the ground. So that's what I made the cutoff in the parking garage at Whole Foods.

^My cutoff is just below the green line on the wall. It's not the one above FYI.

I'm a little frustrated. I can't seem to get the driver's side cutoff to line up EXACTLY with the passenger side cutoff. As you can see in the picture above, they're even in the middle but the driver's side is sliiiiightly higher on the right. And the passenger side is sliiiiighty higher on the left. Idk, maybe it's supposed to be like that? I don't think it's anything I can adjust without opening up the headlights. Maybe the projectors and the cutoffs were installed ever so slightly crooked? But perhaps I'm being too picky.

After all this, now my foglights need to be adjusted. Lol.

Updated engine bay shots coming soon.

Retro's look good! I believe your cutoff is still too high. From the ground to the middle of your projector you measured 24". The top step of your cutoff against the wall at 25 feet away should be 2 inches lower then your 24".

Well, I only got one photo edited so far. Just downloaded Photoshop Touch for iPad so I'm trying to learn it.

Alright. You guys are going to have to bear with me. I'm red green colorblind so I might have adjusted the saturation a little too much.

Photobucket

It looks much better in the Photoshop app. Not sure if Photobucket is compressing it more than Flickr would.

How I understand the diagram in that lighting thread is the bottom line (driver's side) cutoff should be 2.1-2.5" from headlight center measurement at 25' from wall, ie ~22" based on my 24" centerline headlight measurement. Not the top step.

Here's a diagram someone made for reference:

Option C is what I will be using.

This looks good to me! Big fan of your car man. I absolutely love your headlights too btw. I was orginally gonna save up but I think I'm gonna go with the Moriomoto Retro-Quick system w/ some 55w 5k hid's down the road. I'm thinking of possibly adding the angel eyes as well like you did, what size are the one's you got? They sit slightly on the outer portion of the shroud not the center of it, right?

God man, I'm sorry. I can't for he life of me remember the halo size. I ordered the TRS Retro-Quick kit back in 2011. Lol. I just now got them installed. I didn't have the guts to do it myself and read some horror stories about people getting moisture in the headlights when they did a shotty job of resealing the headlights.

I'm sure if you contact TRS before you order your kit they can tell you what people usually go with. My halos are mounted at the front of the shroud. But yes, the outer portion, not centered. There was talk of getting larger halos and mounting them at the back of the shroud, but idk how many people went with that option.

Thanks for the compliments man. Good luck with your car.

Love the info provided, very complete with the details & that is a very nice baseline for any more power haha! So were your dyno pulls not affected by your Blizzaks? I would think it wouldn't because the car is sitting on the rollers no matter what tire and the tires can't change data that is being pulled, but I am not knowledgeable on the subject so my curiousity is getting the best of me haha...

Great numbers! They seem high for an ots Cobb map though. Although really those numbers don't matter. The gain from the baseline numbers do!

I think you misunderstood... you're dyno pull will be the "baseline" that you will use to see how much of a gain you made when you finish your mods and get tuned.

Yup. That's why I wanted to get this done today. I'm so excited for what's to come but pleasantly surprised at today's numbers.
