Livermore Subaru Service
Just wanted to know if anyone had experience with Livermore Subaru service. How was the service? Did they still work on your car with simple mods?
Coming up to my first service. Just 7 miles from work and would be a lot more convenient. If not, then I'll have to spend the day up in Santa Cruz.

Stan,
If you're taking it in for regular maintenance service, they're quick and efficient. The only time I had to deal with a warranty issue was when I had a problem with popping out of 5th gear on my Legacy GT. That was painless, and they never questioned my Kartboy shifter at that time. I would imagine that nobody is as mod friendly as Santa Cruz though. |

I would agree with that. I have not had any problems with Livermore. I take both my Suby and my Honda there for regular service....well now only the honda. (My Impreza is way too modded for any dealer other then Santa Cruz).
If you want to mod your ride.....I'd say stick with Santa Cruz, they would even encourage you to mod more. Who do you think installed my ACT clutch and flywheel But if you want reliable service and have a "mostly" stock car, then Livermore is a good choice. Cheers EddyL. |

LIvermore has given me absolutely no problem so far with my ganzflow, pulley, and other mods. I dunno what would happen if I turbo'd, but they'd probably be cool with that, too. =)

Wow...Lucky you guys. I've had nothing but problems with their parts and service department. Every time my car has gone in, something has been wrong after. I don't know why they did, but they crossed the plugs on my Tec-II coil pack and wondered why the car wouldn't start. why they were messin with those anyways was beyond me. I picked up my car one time and my stereo was up almost full blast with the bass turned ALL THE WAY UP! ...quite the suprise when you start your car. I brought my car in because the Driver side window roller got bent up somehow and started scratching into the window glass, probably from someone trying to break in once. (the tech's assumtion) Said they were ordering the whole new Glass, track and roller mechanism, but when I picked up my car, they just replaced the glass...and bent everything back into place good enough so it would work. It was warrenty work, but I was still pissed. And my window still sticks in the cold They sell parts at FULL retail cost, no budging. I avoid them at all costs. But the sales team is frickin AWESOME!!!

I wouldn't consider my car "heavily" modded.
As far as they could see... ITG Panel Filter Whiteline Rear Way Futumo Oil Valve Kartboy Shifter From the sounds of it, I think I'm pretty safe going to Livermore for maybe the first two scheduled maintence services. Thanks! |

I talked with the service manager (I think, he was the service manager). He said they have no problem installing STi parts on a subaru. And if you buy the part thru them ($$$$$) they provide all the warranty work (1 year labor, whatever STi stats for the part). He assured me hat included springs, struts, engine modes, sway-bars, whatever. He did say they have to be careful with modified cars (that they didn't work on), because they don't like getting blamed for problems they didn't cause. Plus, I don't think maybe of their guys have mod experience.
Too bad, I still haven't found some place in Santa Rosa area like Santa Cruz Subaru. |

They probably don't do that anymore because I've reemed them so many times. (I hate doing that) ...I'm fair, but yes it was their fault.
