Shoot I'm sorry. Yes it's NAV, popular package 1, and STS package. That was pretty important lol.

That's pretty close to what I'm paying for almost the same options and sounds like a good deal. You can check invoice for all your options on edmunds or truecar and should aim to get that or lower for an order. A lot of people are right around invoice, with the best deals I've seen being about $500 below (excluding the brief ridiculous deal from Evanston Subaru), but that is pretty rare.

I brought my winters to the dealer and had them put them on for me before I left.

I have currently managed to see a price around $36,200. That dealer also stated that it would take 6 months to arrive. Do bigger dealers have priority of fulfillment than smaller dealers and is this price good or should I keep pushing?

Thank you for all your current and future advice.

Regards,
I stated a couple pages back my dealer quotes invoice of 35,500 but are you getting any options or as is? Like above stated you could possibly get high 34

Edit- if that's with nav and everything else then yes I think it's a good deal.

Not that I know of. You can ask your dealer to do it with their tint guy that does their cars. I'd see if you can get it included in what your already paying. If not I'd suggest going else where. They'll generally be more expensive than another shop.

TBH, unless you live in the mid west or north east where you get absolutely obliterated by snow, I don't think winter tires are needed. Yes I am going to be flamed such as "omg that's not safe, idiot!", but I have many friends who drive these cars in the snow with no problem. Albeit I live in northern VA where we get a few inches of snow and maybe one bilzzard every 3 years. However, even through the blizzard, my friend drove his 500+whp evo in the snow with summer tires with not much problem.

It's not just the snow. Summer tires shouldn't be run on dry pavement when it's colder than 40 degrees. The rubber is too hard, and traction is severely diminished.

It's tough but I keep telling myself that it will be worth the wait. Plus, I'll have more money to put down. Did they require a $1000 deposit from you, also?

Really? Man...hoping it comes in early for me, too! Salesman believes it will because of the turnaround he's seen with other orders. *Crossing fingers*

Going in to place my order tomorrow

I'm not 100% on the color yet but it's between SWP and ISM, leaning towards ISM though.

sti 5 door
auto dimming mirror with compass
wheel locks

Dealer is doing right around $35k. Should I go for it?

I know it'll be worth it..but they told me 6-8 weeks ha. I'm just sick and tired of waiting! They did require the 1k deposit, which I found strange, but whatever. The price I got for my swp 5 dr sti with auto-dim mirror, short throw, and roof rack was 37,958. I already have 11k more for a down payment when the time comes, so there's 12k cash. I've already bought some parts for it too.

This is actually one of my biggest dilemmas with the car. The stock tires are atrocious by all standards so I'll definitely swap them out pretty much right away. But the question is to what. I live in the Bay Area so cold/snow is not an issue at all, but close enough to Lake Tahoe that a trip or two there a year is likely, though I haven't been during the winter in a few years. So, get the Michelin super sports, which IMO are the best tires you can put on this car, or get all seasons that will give me a bit more piece of mind for the 4-6 days a year I might encounter cold/snow? The Bridgestone pole positions a/s look pretty good, and would be a huge upgrade over the dunlops so I would probably be happy with them. But I am a big Michelin fan (swapped the goodyears on my g35 for the ps2 and it was like a different car) and would love the super sports the other 360 days a year. But even if I don't go to the snow I'd like to know I can if I want to. The practical side of me says I could always just rent an SUV for that weekend or two, giving more space for gear anyway, but I know you guys know that feeling of "I want to drive MY car"...

Anyone else face a similar dilemma? If so, how did you handle it and how happy are you with the decision?

Hey that's not a bad idea. How much does that setup cost you?

6-8 weeks? Which salesman did you go through? I went through Chris Culbertson.

I also got the auto-dim mirror, short throw, rear bumper cover, cargo net, under driver seat sub/amp, shock sensor and tint for a little under $39k. No factory nav for me as I'll most likely go aftermarket HU for better sound.

What parts did you get? I'm going to get mine clear-bra'd at Modern Armor as soon as I can after I get it. I already bought some Opti-Coat 2.0 to protect the paint.
