Installed RCE yellow today.

Front and rear gaps look about even with rear 1/4" saggy shim.

Your car sits high for sure. Here's a pic of a bugeye wagon with 3/8" spacers on the rear with yellows.

Tony, any idea as to why my car sits higher? I really like the way my car looks with RCE yellows. Hope my car won't drop like that wagon.

Have you loosened any of the suspension pick up points? Maybe you have some binding in the bushings.

No, I have not loosened any of the suspension pick up points. Maybe it will settle after several days.

Likely chance of bushings binding on all 4 corners seems unlikely.

For those with RCE yellow on bugeye, anyone having similar fender gap as my car shown above? I drove for 2 days and fender gap hasn't changed much. I did make sure I install struts/springs correctly, so I find it kind of odd.

I honestly like the way my car look and don't my car to look like above yellow wagon (slammed look).

I FINALLY got around to installing my suspension stuff today with help from my dad. Pics will follow shortly. Planning to wash/wax tomorrow, so it won't be long.

I can say that after looking at mine this evening, then looking above at txl's pics, my car sits VERY similar and not slammed like the yellow wagon. I couldn't be happier!

Why is that wagon so low anyway, anyone know? Been trying to get a set of these springs.

I'm looking at doing this to my 02 wagon. With the 225/45 r17 tires do you get any fender rub without doing a fender roll? How much did the saggy butt spacers effect the rear height? Too stiff for a daily driver?

I was looking at getting RCE Yellows/Blacks, KYB AGX Adjustable Shocks, STI rear top hats, and Scooby921 strut spacers.

Thanks!

No fender rub whatsoever. I did not want to roll/pull my fenders since this is my DD.
I can't say definitively that the saggy butt spacers affected it a ton, but I thought the ride height looked perfect, front to back, with them installed.

And as I said, this is my daily driver, and though it's stiffer than stock, it doesn't rattle your fillings or your spine to the point of discomfort. I wouldn't want it any stiffer, but I like the firmness and the fact that there's very little body roll. I can take the interstate ramps pretty hard without roll, and I could also easily autoX with this setup, if only it wasn't so slow

Good luck and hope this info helps!

Thanks alot, i'm looking for the exact same thing. I love the look of that height and i'm looking for more performance out of my springs for the day to day. Could you give me a brief break down of the spacers? Did you place the scooby spacers F&R (two sets) and add the saggy butt spacers to the rear? Just making sure I order everything right the first time...

Thanks!

I'm fairly certain that all front tophats 02-07 are the same design. This means front tophats are interchangeable on any Impreza struts. It's the rears that must be correct, 02-03 or 04-07, depending on the model of spring you use, which dictates the model of rear tophat. The rear D-spec struts are the only ones that use the Scooby921 spacers, since they're technically for bugeyes only, so you'll only need a single pair.

As for the Paranoid Fab saggy butt spacers... one set, and each one literally just lays down over each fully-assembled rear suspension unit just before you mount it inside the rear strut tower.

Thank you!! Well, the camber plates are not required. Some sort of tophat is necessary. I could have stuck with OEM tophats, but if I hadn't used the camber plates I would have at least used the firmer group n tophats all around.

I really like what you've done here and plan on getting the same suspension setup. I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether these are the right parts:

Tokico DSpecs: http://thmotorsports.com/i-526460.as...OWkaAttc8P8HAQ

RCE Yellow Springs: http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Race...wering-Springs

group N tophats: http://www.rallysportdirect.com/STI-...r-Strut-Mounts

scooby921 strut spacers: http://www.fastwrx.com/products/tic-...-strut-spacers

saggy but spacers: http://www.paranoidfabrications.com/...-impreza-hdpe/

ingalls camber bolts (rear):

or maybe these instead:

Thanks!
