not sure if it's absolutely necessary to run the realtime stg 2 map, but it only takes a few seconds to flash the realtime over the basemap. might as well, just to play it safe. have fun!

Your basemap is what the AP is going to flash your ECU to (even if you reset your ECU). You dont need anything else, just your basemap. Although Cobb does recommend that you put your basemap to whatever stage it is you are running and not the realtime map...hope this helps, good luck and have fun !

I don't know of any reason to run a real-time version of the same base map...
Real time maps are to change something from the base version, like valet mode, or economy mode. I don't think real time map learns like the base map - someone else can chime in here, but can't see any advantage to doubling up the mapping... |

Yes, you are good to go once you load a base map.

the only time you need the same real time map as base is if you flashed a economy, anti theft etc. over your original base map.
that is how you remove the flashed economy, anti theft etc. when you originally flash the base it automatically becomes your real time, until you flash another real time . you also can re-set the ecu by pulling the neg.terminal off the battery.the realtime maps you flashed will be removed.and you will now be running the same realtime map as base. |
