Default STI TMIC upgrade from stock WRX

Colleagues,
I understand that my questions might be discussed million and a half times, but I did a research, and I didn't find the answer to all my questions.

I'm just about to get the STI TMIC from a friend and just wondering if there is a noticable difference between an 07 sti intercooler over a 07 wrx one.
Is it worth $$ I'll pay?

Somebody says that it will be no hp gain or throttle response difference, or even bigger lag without the engine management tune.
What tune can I do myself using the Opentport tactrix cable and Ecuflash / Romraider software?

Will appreciate your opinions, or if you can refer me to a threads where these issues were discussed.

Thanks,
Toxin.

On my car i could feel a difference. Seemed like it was less restrictive.

I'm going to take it easy on you since English may be your second language. Read http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=529972 and yes, it's an upgrade. Next time if you have a question you are sure has been asked before, please post it in the Newbies and FAQ Forum.
