Conditions were near ideal. The track, unlike last year's Spring was not crowded and started two hours earlier. You could have gotten in 20 passes, no kidding. I had four earlier 11-second passes, but each of them had a mis-shift or delay shifting problem. This has been my biggest hurdle, working the finicky gates on the Subaru. It's me, I know, and I'm getting there. You can see that an even cleaner launch (I had a 1.57 60" earlier), and much quicker shifting is probably worth the two tenths I needed to get a ten second time card. Junior looked at my vid and thinks I may have a broken motor mount because of the movement. We will put it on the lift this week to inspect. (That would certainly account for poor shifts, but we'll let the jury decide that later.) Regardless that I did NOT get a ten second pass, it's still my personal best, and it's still a blisteringly fast car, especially on pump! I'm going to return next month. News as I do. Coop

Its amazing the difference 07 gears make compared to the shytty 04 gearing in mine. cant wait for that mod, its def worth it. congrats on a great run tho, i could see 10's on pump for sure. are u running the id1000cc injectors???

I see 10s on pump in your future. Breathe and relax at the track and you will never miss a shift again |

I see that every time you go to the track there is only improvement! How did you like the Hoosier tires? You are running the 245/45-17 right? |

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the props. Anyone who's been out there knows it's rare to get the glory card easily.
Yes, these Hoosiers are a great tire. Junior tells me he would have upped the launch 2-step RPM and raised tire pressure. Timing, AFR's, Boost? Damned if I am certain. We had it on the dyno earlier in the week and it made this power at 25 lbs, and it was under 11.5 AFR all the way across. That was there. I hear a track rental is in the cards for April. Yes, that would be fine. Coop |

I guess you need to trade down to an FP Red like john's??
So whats the difference between johns car and this car? With jays gt35 it was the trans why the mph was "down"......so this car has an even bigger turbo (HTA 3582) and an 07 trans.....and its still trapping the same as john's car? |

To me it looks like the biggest differences are that john's car had a 1.50 60' time and his LC/FFS rpm setpoints are probably higher. I improved 2-3mph and 2-3 tenths by playing with those RPM setpoints.

i mean this fp red is the greatest arguement for staying stock location that i've ever seen. |

My launch control builds boost and was set higher on my 10.9 pass. I believe Coops LC isn't building boost, or as much boost. Remember I've had 3-4 more passes then Coop so far this year, before My 10.9 pass I was clicking off 11.2's. When he finishes dialing in the car it'll go 10.7's |
