i'm fairly certain he is confusing your wastegate spring/pressure for peak boost and taking a lil jab at you noob section might be a good place, indeed.

Yes Bariga, it is finally coming together! Can't wait to see what you put down with this turbo but man that thing is huge!! Hope your fight club hands are heeling
I pulled the plug on my EFR 7670 and sold my Cosi stroker long block. It should be in Australia by now. I need to check with Hamish to see where things are at with it. He is going to be running a Full Race TS GTR35 in his 2400 lb. GC8, can't wait to see what that does as well. It should be good to compare your dyno results and his and 1/4 mile times if possible. I am now having Outfront quote me a 2.5L closed deck build for my Forester I want to do the motor swap build this winter while it's garaged. Sorry did not mean to thread jack! I strongly recommend finding as many Outfront engine recipients and getting their opinion on their experience with their engines.

vs a sleeved block or.....? My power goals are not that big and I think the closed deck is good insurance over open deck and better than pinned motor. If you guys have suggestions I would love to hear them.

For the past 2+ years, an OFMS built closed deck Subie motor has been in the fastest and most succesfull non-sleeved Time Attack Subie in the country (11 for 11 win streak going on right now in class...). It has also posted the highest whp ever achieved by a regularly road raced Subie (727whp at 100* temps in AZ, 750whp at sea level and 75*) when it won the annual Modified Magazine Tuner Shootout (Aug 2011) with the highest overall score ever achieved (and it's a Mod/Ltd legal car, not Unl!). It is faster in Mod/Ltd trim than the fastest Unl cars were just a few years ago. That is all very well documented. Obviously, many factors need to come together to achieve the above claim but the fact remains that the above was all done with an OFMS closed deck motor. No motor is bullet-proof and everything can fail when pushed in a race setting, especially when records are being chased and broken. Bottom line: Outfront Motorsports is definitely one of the top dogs in the Subie world of engine building. I know that there are lots of great motor builds out there, some may even be better than ours but the published race results and records speak for themselves. |

What will boost target be then? Regarding my jab, I've been hanging out on Evo forums where 40psi is the norm. |

Did you do any research on that Spectre air filter? Be carefully with the shinny chrome piece falling off, filter falling apart into your turbo etc. I have seen the shinny name plate fall off, as well as the center section fall into a compressor wheel. They are hot glued together. Our engine bays get pretty hot

hmm, i had one before and didn’t have any problems.
I’m still waiting for P&L fuel pressure gasket, apparently they ship it ground instead of 2nd day, and waiting for stronger WG bracket as the original one flexes with tight WG spring. While im waiting im enjoing BF3 on a PC |

I'm sending you a PM very soon. I am in no way trying to start a public debate about OFMS. I just said to contact the owners and ask them. Everyone assumed it was negative. |

Intake pipe is done, now all I'm waiting for the WG Bracket from full-race and P&L FPR gasket. I'm going to start putting miles on it at the end of the week.
Dom can you put me down on next available spot for break in tune, I'll have to use high pressure spring in the WG Actuator its 19-22 PSI rated. I guess we can just set boost cut to 15 psi and ill just control boost with my foot |
