Default Quick hood question...

I was having a conversation with the owner of a wrx type r and he told me that all of the body panels excluding the rear quarters are made of aluminum on his car so he doesn't have to worry about rust. I own a 2002 wrx that of course has some deep scratches on the hood but there is zero rust on it which led me to wonder if all wrx's came with aluminum hoods???

Thank you.

....yes, your hood is aluminum. While exposed areas won't rust, they can corrode.
