Forrester VS Crosstrek
If I were shopping these two vehicles for a daily driver that could handle light off roading, which one would you guys suggest? Which do you guys think would handle off roading better? Not full on four wheeling but able to take on trails.
The Forrester is begger and more powerful but the Crosstrek is smaller and lighter.

They were asking a pretty penny for the Crosstrek because it just came out about a month ago. They are probably willing to deal more on the Fozzy because the next generation one will be out soon. I like both a lot, but would probably do the Fozzy for the space and turbo.

Basically everything that Ken said. I was sad because when I watched the commercial for the Crosstrek my wife and I thought it should have been the commercial for the Baja instead. But since they don't make it anymore, the Forester is pretty good too.

Fozzy ... What Ken said and I think it'll have a little more clearance and better entry and exit angles.

I own a '10 fxt myself and I would rather have my car because of the turbo. The xv is pretty roomy in the back and I'm a big guy. There was one at subiefest i sat in. You can probably get a killer deal on any new '12 foresters dealerships MAY still have because the '13s came out not too long ago. Plus I wouldn't get anything the first year it's out.

Sat in a crosstrek today - it's pretty much an impreza with a bit more ground clearance, as already pointed out. It's smaller than the forester - the thing that would concern me is that the space behind the rear seat is pretty minimal - if you like to carry stuff when you go off roading (to go camping or whatever) I'd definitely go with the Forester. The 2014 will be here soon, and the '14 XT looks like it's going to be pretty awesome...

I have been in a 2012 impreza hatch at the auto show downtown and it was just as roomy. |
