Did the head on that stop you from reving further? When do you think it would stop making power 10-10.5k and over 1000whp? Thats amazing

I would think it's the rotational forces that prevented higher revs. 9-9.5K is pretty crazy for a 2.5L Subaru. I would love to see what this FFT setup would do on a 2.35L de-stroked 2.5, 4mm long rod motor

But that's a pretty crazy power band for a Subaru 500+ HP and TQ for 4K rpms

Can't wait to see what this does in the 1320!

The rods.. They are heavy steel crower, I don't like spinning those past 9500rpm. Over the winter we are going to build an Aluminum rod/FSR motor that should see 10-10500rpm. The head and intake are setup to run 50-60psi as well, just need more turbo. Car will be used to run the mile after it runs the ET we are looking for.

The 2nd graph was an EVO I tuned yesterday.

Both p&l cars see 9500-10000rpm @ 2.5ltrs. 0 problems

We are getting a set of 17" drag radials loaned to us, so lets see what Xdrian can do.. lol

Woops, I guess I should have looked back a little bit and the 46 psi was also a giveaway Still a nice power band even if it's an evo Very nice Junior and Nightshift Performance!

Not to divert from this awesome work but check out this thread and this Subie's power band. The Killer B headers I believe contribute to a not so typical Subaru graph. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2415750

What rods and pistons are on the p&l cars spinning those revs?

Those headers work Remember on your own car!

I'm going to try and get an RPM based graph soon, this thing hits and holds for a while.... to 8500rpm to more specific

For comparison the P&L car holds over 850whp to 9800rpm
P&L Spec Pauter rods and CP pistons, stock crank

Totally!!! It's fun to see the creativity, results and super cool clean cars being put together these days! Clean and stealth is my motto! Again great job on the tuning and to nightshift on the build!

Are you tuning at P&L any time this month? My car is running and will be in need of a good tune!

I am going at the end of the month again. I was just there a week back. I would normally be out this week, but Thanksgiving will be changing that.

Call the shop I think we have 2 slots, I dont know which of the 3 days though.

If that Evo is a stroked motor what would you think would be a good rev limit? They need balance shafts just to reduce vibration at 2.0L add balance shaft delete and it only get's worse. Balance away and pray!

Timing/E85 possibly? And a good setup will get you this.

balance the rotating assembly and you don't need the bshafts anymore.
Some 2.3s will do 8500 others 9500.. Our 2.1did 10,500, the Magnus 2.2 will do 10-11k all day long. Depends how it is built, rod ratio, bore etc

10-4 including the clutch assembly! Even Subaru motors can rev to 9-10K if balanced well with the right rod ratio.

Are you talking about the 26th-28th of this month? If those are the dates I could possibly do either the Monday afternoon or Tuesday. I will give the shop a call. Do you know how the E85 is right now here in the midwest, have they formulated it for the winter E70ish? thanks!
