Good eye.

Shape is not right for a well-tuned GR STI, either. Peak WHP should be pretty flat from 5200-redline.

They "started" at 340+ WTQ, meaning full boost? Jeez. I guess my methods of methodically working upwards slowly from wastegate boost and refining every area of the tune are getting outdated

Yeah... interesting tuner choice considering the Subaru tuning scene in Oregon.

While I am die hard Cobb, I have tuned 2 via opensource with out issue. Every newer car should have an AP though. I stress this to all my clients.

Some of the best tuners in the country have commented on your chart. If you are worried about the tune you should have had a shop that is known for good tunes modify your car. Head north so someone can fix it.

You are right near Cobb/Surgline LANCELUCAS.. lol...

Buy an AP and have Lance fix it up for you. Nothing better then having a guy that owns your same car and does the development work on his own 13 STI tuning your car. Literally can not get a better tune.

Has Cobb released the 2013 STi files for Accessport/ProTuner?

What does the AP offer over open source tuning? I haven't been familiar with the tuning of these cars in a while. I owned a 2002 WRX and tuned it myself with a blouch 20g and found the results very satisfying. In fact, the maps we had access to were exactly the same as what the accessport (for hundreds of dollars) had access to from the ecu's rom dump.

So, my question, has Cobb secretly unlocked maps that romraider or ecuflash cannot simply get to now? I'm not bashing your claim, I just want some proof to back up what you're saying.

Thanks.

If one understands how to tune a gasoline engine, the software shouldn't matter whether it be accessport or opensource variant. I remember you from years back, always loved your work btw!

With the newer cars, Cobb does generally have more complete access to more maps and parameters which makes tuning these cars more precise. I generally offer open source tuning for pre 08 cars but always recommend an AP for 08+.

It seems more and more tuners are saying anything after 08 should have an accessport.
