After my '05 WRX I told myself I needed something more "mature" like an LGT or something. I test drove one but it was boring and I got an '06 WRX instead. Then I looked into getting a G35X, but I got an '09 WRX instead. I'm 38 and sometimes feel like I want more of a luxury, performance car. Maybe next time.

I'm 30, but my exterior is pretty tame by today's standards. Prodrive/GR-2 drop, 5Zigen FN0's, PIAA 540s in JDM bezels, Ureshi rear lip and tint.
Waiting to be put on: STi front corner splitters and JDM rear aprons. Eh. Too boy racer? Sometimes I think so, but only because my car is WRB. I loved the color when I was 26 and my car was brand new, but now I wish I had gone with something more low key. |

36... no mods. Got the WRX wagon for a super commuter (140 mile round trip) car that could carry my fishing rods as well.

I'll be 38 in a few weeks. My '08 WRX is stage one with nothing more than an AP and an SPT exhaust.
I bought my 2.5RS as my 30th birthday present to myself, before we had a WRX stateside. I modded the hell out of it. However, even when I was playing with Hondas back in my 20's I was always show, not go. I build my cars for power, handling and braking. I tend to like my cars sleeper. Nobody on the street has a clue that my RS can lap faster than a stock STi, and they don't need to know it. However, It's really a personal choice. One of my business partners is 40, drives a bugeye wagon, and has a handful of cosmetic mods. He's got a v7 front grill and a rear wing. He's got rally armour mudflaps and body color side skirts. The car looks nice. It doesn't look rice. Something tell me that if you are even asking the question, you aren't going to rice out your car and your mods will be tasteful. As for kids? We're starting a family in a year or so. At that point, we'll be returning the '08 WRX and getting a Forester XT. Now that car will get some real mods... |

I'm 36. This is my old wrx, returned to stock and sold yesterday. I now have a MBP bugeye wagon with all the parts from that car plus a carbon hood and tint on the back windows. That is going to have some paint work done today so no pics of it yet. I think I might have went a little to far for my age with the STI wing, other than that I liked the silver one.

29, '07 WRX limited. Tint and custom wheels on the outside. SPT intake and cat-back for the engine. Front and rear strut bars for better handling, for I do not want to lower....personal preference, it's a DD.
As long as YOU like it, do it. |

I thought the WRX was a bit too edgy, and I was looking for something a little more grown up looking. Of corse, the fact I had an exhaust, gold rims, and rally blue didn't help the look I was going for with the WRX, but if I went back to stock I wouldn't have wanted to keep it. |
