Subaru Wheel Locks

I bought headers too, but they didn't come with the O2 bung and the cat... I don't feel like forking out more cash. Anyone want to buy it? I'd sell it for the price I paid. I think I'm satisfied with the sound right now. It sounds sorta like a G35 and the start up growl is just mean .

Retrofit is coming very soon, looking to do a quad projector 1 bi-xenon 1 halogen DRL set up. >> Tints >> Coils.

Someone mentioned above upgraded brake pads, can you please recommend a set? That's something I want to do ASAP.
Was it just the WRX cat back that gave you that sound? Or what other engine mods if any?

1)Everything bolts right up. No modification was necessary whatsoever. Use extended hangers but it will still touch the bumper. Right now it's cold so it's not melting but I intend to fabricate a bumper cut out from an 08/09 WRX Rear Diffuser...once I get my hands on one.

2) Yep. Just the catback. I have no engine mods as of yet. For the price that a WRX cat can be had for, it's well worth it for both the sound and appearance. I did not want anything loud or ricey, we're just 2.5s anyway. This is the perfect balance of a deep, yet subtle growl with a calm G35ish sound when accelerating. No drone either.

I may be mistaken but I could swear I hear a slight rumble when waiting at lights too.
Hope I helped.

For that price you can get a whole lot more custom made and finished, that will also last much longer.

Nice update. First off, how do you like the new polk speakers? Im planning on getting new speakers soon. Also what projectors are you going with morimoto d2s mini by chance? Also for brake pads, Ive had hawk hps for over 2 years now and they have been great. Slightly more aggressive than stock so you can feel the difference right away but they wont eat at your rotors unless your doing some serious mountain runs/track days lol. If your on a budget try stoptech street performance pads.

Just took my grill out and bought some steel concrete mesh. Anybody know of a good DIY? I have a pretty good understanding if what I plan to do but I have no dremel. Will post pics when done.

BTW, a dremel costs more than a new grille.

Gonna put the grill back tomorrow. Pretty satisfied with the outcome especially since I didn't really have a plan. Just don't know if I should paint it black or not. Paprika colored car.

Pretty satisfied for 10 bucks. Especially without having much of a plan. Just deciding to paint it black or not. Paprika sedan.

That looks pretty good man. Where did you get the honey comb mesh from? Local home depot store or equivelant?

Loving the new polks. Audio is so much clearer and I can crank it to max with no distortion whatsoever. The bass/low end is OK, I can live with it but I may upgrade with a small underseat sub in the future.

I am indeed using morimoto d2s mini.

I will look into the Hawk vs Stoptech. Thanks!

Thanks dude! Nope, no drop. No suspension mods at all, actually. Just an STi rear sway bar, and that doesn't count haha.

Thats awesome man. I love the idea of the underseat sub/amp but apparently they don't do too much
Did you get the kit from lightwerkz or theretrofitsource? I currently have the lightwerkz 35w 6000k pnp kit in my halogen projectors and its okay but I want to upgrade to get a better cutoff and maybe go to a 55w kit. No problem man, just here to help!

It's the same package from LW or TRS. The only difference is the ballast. With TRS you get the Matsu****a ballast which is OEM from Subaru and mounts in the OEM location, LW gets you the regular Morimoto ballast. No difference really except a cleaner, more OEM looking install.

Oh..ok, I guess I'll skip the underseat option. I just don't want a box or anything in my trunk. One it looks childish (to me), attracts thieves (I live in NYC) and takes away useful trunk space.

You can always get a custom side mounted box for your trunk. Audio integrations is one company that makes one specifically for our cars.
