AC fuse out?
Hi, i own a 2000 impreza 2.5rs. I havent used the a/c for about 6 months and the other day i tried to turn it on and it did not work. I notice that when i push the a/c button on the console, the compressor does not turn on. also the light in the a/c button does not turn off and on when i push the button which leads me to think that some connection or fuse is out.
Can anyone help me out or give me some kind of advice suggestions? Thanks.

^ok thanks anyways gti.
- the one under hood in the fusebox or are there any others like under the dash or something? i looked in the fusebox when i first noticed it and well im not real experienced, so besides seeing that the a/c fuse was still there i didnt really know what to look for. what should i check for to see if its still good? also the fuse for the a/c in the fusebox is a bigger black one, and there is only a puller for the small one so is there a special way to remove it without damaging something or can i just pull it out? thanks for your help. i really appreciate it. |

Yes there are also fuses inside the car. On the drivers side close to the door there is a panel...behind the panel the fuses are labled
It could also be a relay under the hood, which is the bigger "fuse". |

Take out that a/c relay inside the fuse box in the engine compartment then take it to a local autozone/checker and theyll test it for free. I don't recall seeing any a/c fuses inside the cabin but if so take it out and inspect if the wire/arc inside the fuse is blown/burnt if so then replace that. it says the size/number ontop of the fuse. GL.
