Yea I am familiar with the car. We have the shot, but have only used it on the trans brake through the AEM. Basically when he lets go of the TB the shot goes off line. We have a method to our madness I'm sure we will get the car into the 5.30s@130 and the ET will follow suit.

i wish I was but my custom pistons have not shown up from cp yet but I will keep you posted.just keep up the good work of proving the power on the track and not by posting a bunch of BS dyno #'s like a lot of others on here without track #'s to back it up.

^^^Also that is how I had Alex's car set up with phils help, spool with spray while on the tb but only at 95% TPS then off when the button is released.

Custom sounds nice!! I look forward to seeing you get into the 9s. I know you will.. **** you had the MPH for it!!!
I hear ya John, that is why I dont post anymore dyno sheets. I either do it the night before we hit the track or the day of. Anyone can make a pretty chart, but making that chart mean something in real life is the actual hard part.

No theories or math equations here.. Just getting it done!

Yea same concept. It took us a while to find the balance of leaving hard and smooth. I will convince Mr.Lucia to let us play with more spray out the hole and maybe to the 330 then shut it off. Im sure it wont be hard to convince him, the man is on a mission!

YEAH with you totally on the non posting of dyno sheets, instead post killer time slips-oh yeah.Sounds like Mr. lucia will let you tweak whatever you want on the car as long as he gets his record. And yes he sounds determined and on a definite mission.

The GTR guys have been doing that since the 90s. Lock up 2wd do a burn out, launch AWD then let it transfer power back to RWD as it gains traction. I can launch my GTR and watch the gauge on the dash lock at 50/50 then drop to rwd.

yeah and DCCD makes half of that easy. I guess you could simply trigger the parking break doing down the track if you wanted to let the diff run 'open' but I dont' see a benefit to that with a high power car. So it's good for warming up the tires.

Think about it. Watch a supra lay down 1200-1400whp and go run low 8s RWD. Once those rear tires are hot they will hook. Opening the diff will put more power down to 2 wheels and help with harder acceleration.
I have bounced the idea around, but none of that will come into play until we are trying to shave thousandths.

Yeah, that's why I said it. I however would worry about breaking traction on hard shifts with what rubber we can fit in our wheel wells. It was just a concern, not saying it isn't work researching

Its an auto the car looses 2psi on a shift, so the drive-line is not shocked. Also think about the cars going low 4s to the 1/8th on a 10.5w tire. They are all RWD 1500+whp animals. This car is tucking a MT 26/9.5/15 so I don't think we would have an issue hooking into 3rd gear. Like you said, trial and error. We are approaching uncharted territory for a 4cyl subie

Hold the r160 holds up to a few more 1.30 60fts! and GLD sucks for hooking, this car will cut 1.26s on a good track, and even better as we go up in power.

Boost log, and the white line is the car hitting the limiter on every shift. I did not turn it up enough and it was ripping through the RPM band

This one doesn't, the RWD switching doesn't occur in the same way it does on a stock tranny

It doesn't have DCCD, but can become RWD with a flip of a button, or turned on easily by the AEM

How much nitrous does it take to get it up on the brake that fast? Is the trans manual valve body? Is there a delay from when the shift is requested vs executed? Have you been minding the internal pressure in the trans in respects to the thrust bearing in the engine? I know that with the auto trans stuff I've worked on the past ended up with roller thrusts as we got a converter that would manage the power down track. Are you guys using a lock up?

100 shot brings it online pretty fast. Manual valve body. The shifts are pretty spot on from what I can see, hardly a delay from request to shift.

Honestly we are just getting to really lean on the car so we don't have any trans pressure data as of yet. At the end of the season we will tear the motor down though and inspect the thrust and compare it to the blueprints.
