If there's two things I wish my car had (US Model), it's the Mirror Turn Signals and the center LCD display like the Forester has. Oh, and maybe steal the LED Tail Lights from the new 2014 Hybrid XV Crosstrek.

Except your car might start saying, "Eh" and "Take off, ya hoser". Eh? I stand (sit?) corrected. |

As others have noted, after seeing the damage in this accident, and the high speed rear-end accident that were recently posted, the car appears to perform well in keeping the passenger compartment intact. Repair cost may be high, but you can't replace life or limb at any cost. Hopefully most of us never have to find out how safe the car is first-hand. Good luck with the repairs. |

I'd provide the direct links, but I'm at work now and my company's firewall blocks YouTube. You'll find it if you look. It's impressive stuff. |

I too would give up that center LCD display in a hearbeat for gas, oil, volt and temp gauges. After driving this Impreza for 6 months I got in my 98 Cherokee this past weekend to flush the cooling system, oil change and it felt cramped, I put over 360,000 mi on that jeep. |

And since the WRX is going Sedan only... unless they eventually release a 5-Door version later (like with the '08 STi only being released in a 5-Door and eventually getting a sedan in 2011), I'll prioritize functionality first. I need a hatch for all the stuff I put in the back. Loading and unloading is much easier. |

Crosstek Bumper cover for standard Impreza
has anyone bought the Crosstek bumper cover (rather than the clear applique which we we have on our accessory list) and installed it on their car? i assume it fits perfectly?
just wanted to check before spending the money... |

...not to mention that I still might not fit in the BRZ, if they've got the same interior dimensions as the FR-S. My head was touching the roof of the FR-S at the lowest seat setting; to make it not touch would require the steering wheel to be slightly out of reach or my legs cramped under the steering column. Oh well, we'll see. For now, I'm content with my Impreza. |

I would like to know this too. I pick up my new Impreza Sport Premium hatch this weekend and would like to get this as I am sure I that part of the bumper will get some abuse. I am coming over to the Impreza from a 06 Xterra and I could not be more excited. I just wish I was driving it now and that I wouldnt have to put any more fuel in my Xterra. |

Check this thread, the XV cover fits about 95%. There are newer options (comparable with the XV one) that fit 100% and are cheaper. |

"We handled the 7,500-mile oil change ourselves. The Impreza was easy to work on, and the price was right. We spent under $10 for the DIY, while the dealer visits averaged $113." How did they do a DIY oil change for $10? I do my own oil changes, and can't see how they could acquire the necessary oil and filter, even at discount prices, for less than $30. "Our long-term 2012 Subaru Impreza arrived with an MSRP of $24,645. At the end of its test the odometer read 18,674 and Edmunds' TMV® Calculator valued it at $20,730 based on a private-party sale. This equated to a remarkably low 16 percent depreciation. For comparison, our similarly equipped 2012 Mazda 3 depreciated 26 percent after 20,080 miles of service." It surprised me that the Mazda3 depreciates so much more quickly than the Impreza. I would expect a Mazda to hold its value similarly to a Subaru. Not specific to our Imprezas, I thought this historical article about Subaru was very interesting: http://management.fortune.cnn.com/20...aru-best-cars/ Last edited by sgoldste01; 06-14-2013 at 08:01 AM. |

I've said this since the new '14 Forester has been out - the Impreza should have the 2.5 as well, or at least an option of it (Impreza GT anyone?). People are able to exceed the EPA in the 2.5, and having that in the Impreza would offer more power while barely reducing MPG

I may be a little late on this discussion, but these arrows appear on my Premium Impreza with the paddle shifters. Not that I use them, but they are there. |

Yes they are there. The car will only shift up or down when the appropriate arrow is lit.

bummer it's not a "perfect fit." i guess Subaru made the bumper slightly different or maybe the tolerances on the cover aren't all that fantastic. |
