Question Would like you opinion on a set of tires

I allways see people criticise the standard tires on the impreza.. Re92's I think... My impreza did not come with these tires as standard.

The tires my RX has are Michelin MXV3 A... Have any of you heard of these tires and are they any good...

If the MXV3 are the same as the one we get here, then they are good "touring" tires, usually put on luxury or near-luxury cars. Quiet and smooth riding, but not really performance tires. My parent's Honda Accord came with them, and they plowed (i.e. understeered) through every corner.

Default I think...

Those tires must be similar to the RE92 because I see them used as Original Equipment tires in many different models...In other words they suck for me but the majority are satisfied....

I have noticed a bit of understeer around corners...

You'd probably be better served with something a bit more performance-oriented. Of course, being from the States, I have no idea what's available to you down under.

put stickier tires on
it will still understeer.
it will just take more speed/power through the corner to get there.

you want to get rid of the understeer, get a stiffer rear swaybar, or, you can try going with a wider tire up front than in the back.

They are extremly quiet and comfortable tire.. although not as bad as RE92.. they aren't very good.. they have soft sidewall, but their traction is better. It is not an all season tire...

My parents had them OE on their 94 E320.. replaced them with Yokohama AVS S4-V, more sporty, but much much noisier.
