My wiseco pistons have held up great. A little noise on cold start up, but after they warm up, not too bad. I just tore down my engine to put bigger valves in my head. I run a gt30r and the pistons looked great with heads the off. They have big valve reliefs cut into them too. I currently have about 18000 miles on these pistons.

I've had the same set of wisecos in 3 different motors now, they're pretty decent.

I'm only pushing 305whp tho

I have wiseco's right now in my 2.1 stroker. They are pretty damn load when cold, and you can definately still hear them when fully warmed up.

That depends on your P/W clearance. Drop any piston in with .006" piston/wall clearance and it's going to make a racket. My Wisecos are loud when cold like every other forged slug, once warmed up it sounds like a stock motor. I'm running the recommended .0035" clearance.

wiseco pistons work well for my applications....am using them in this experimental 2.5L closed deck block. Going to see how much power it can handle

if you used the search button, you can find many topics and comparisons about wiseco vs others...

wisecos are good enough for anything you can throw, we didnt brake them with 30R,35R,40R and also 42R. So buy wisecos and away your buddy.

Default pistons

wiesco & JE are made by the same company, search it,wiescos are just a more "prdoction line" I have je's in mine & they are mint.If the pistons are loud that was due to your machine work,IMHO...Stay away from cometics unless your gonna do alot of prep work to heads & deck surface, IMHO

Good Luck

umm, no. SRP is JE's off-the-shelf piston line. Wiseco and JE are not related. Both make great pistons. I'm running wisecos in my STi and SRPs in my small block powered S10 and like them both.

My advice would be to use what ever your builder recommends.

Wisecos are VERY tough. I run 500+ at the wheels on pump and beat the bag out of it, pistons still look like new 20k later...

Agreed... they're a very common RB (skyline motor series) upgrade... never heard of a problem with them and several guys running over 500whp with them (granted rear wheels)

wiseco's are good pistons.. some would choose other pistons over them but from what i've learned is that they're one of the most lightest off the shelf pistons available an proven to handle a lot of abuse. so why not?

Yea,, but didn't you put them in backwards ?
