Default 2007 STI Stage 2 - Tuned by enginelogics.com

This car is tuned by Brad (silvialost) who is the tuner at EngineLogics in Houston. The owner of the car is Joe (mixmatch). I'm putting this up for him/me to see what you guys think. I believe stock STI's make around 220ish on this dyno.

Very low boost... 14.5psi is the stock boost level! As a result of the low boost levels, the a/f ratio is on the lean side and I'm assuming timing is very aggressive to make the power that it does. This car is missing a ton of mid range torque and some peak power as well.

despite what the graph says, my boost gauge reads 17-18 psi at full boost

just a side question, what is best place to T into for boost gauge?

if i am missing power, could that help explain why i cant trap higher than 79mph in the 8th? my times havent been stellar by far but trap speed is dependent more on power than shifting right?...i usually top out 3rd in the 8th, i've also tried shifting to 4th a few car lengths before the trap to see if that helped as well but 80mph+ trap speeds have eluded me in my ~40 passes.

I tee it into the small line on the side of the BOV. People use the FPR, but I think that's a bad idea in general since you really don't want to risk a leak there.

Trap speed is dependent on power, but if your launch and shifting isn't great, then your speed will suffer too.

Do you have an EGT gauge? What are they like?

I was trapping 80-81 in the 1/8th stock before tune or exhaust. Stay in 3rd. What are your 60 ft times? You can pull low 1.7's stock. Wind out first gear to about 6500, and shift to third by 6000

from my experience, ur aftermarket boost gauge will read higher than what the dyno set up does and i agree w/ modaddict.
prolly why ur only trapping no more than 79mph in the 1/8th.

what type of EM are u using to tune?

using UTEC Delta. i currently have the boost guage Td off of the FPR so I will see about moving it.

I do have EGT but have not installed the sensor yet.

my best 60' has been 1.97, sucks i know, but ive been hesitant to rev it to 5k+ for launching until the last time i went to the track. hopefully its just a matter of time before i can get better...just need more practice.

If you don't push it a little harder, you can hurt it more by bogging than getting a good launch.

Guys, if your not familiar with this dyno, don't say his car is lacking power, my car made 260whp and 233wtq on the same dyno, and was good for 12.5s @107+ summer time pump gas only. With some 1.7 60's and some aggressive shifting, that car will be good for low 12s...If you don't have a header on your car, definately get a set.

good job Brad!

Trey
