My dad used to rally back when I was a kid. He passed away a few years ago. I was always excited to go to the events and such. I decided my first car was gonna be WRX Plus every one in MA has a Honda..

sold my scion tc about a year and a half ago because i found myself getting more and more into modding cars and i wanted something with more power. no one in my town had one at the time so i figured it would be a good investment when my little brother found my 2002 wrx on craigslist. been in love ever since the very first test drive!

A friend of mine bought a 80's model soob about 12-13 years ago. I bought an 88 gl about a month later and have never looked back. I have a 13 wrx, and I have turned my wife into a soob owner as well, just got her a 13 cross trek. We won't buy anything but a soob.

^^This

Grand Turismo back in 01. Before they even launched the WRX in the states I wanted one. Test drove a brand new 02, but the wife at the time (now ex) talked me out of it. I even bought my EVO used at a Subaru dealership looking for an STi. Limited car selection in Hawaii... over 10 years later I finally have my subie and couldnt be happier.

It was back in 85. I had been a DAT (dumb arse tanker) for nine years. The M60 tanks I was on were dual turbocharged. So, I thought I knew everything there was to know about turbos. I was in the market for a sporty car and liked the looks of the XT. The turbo sold it to me and the Atari dashboard was icing on the cake. I kept it till it turned over 101,000 miles and traded it in for a Talon TSI (all-wheel drive & turbo).

The Talon was followed by a BRAT, then a RS2.5 and later by my current STI.

i remember watching a subaru commercial back in early 2000's. like the look of them, and the driver was hauling arse through switch backs, and i was like OMG i want.
so when i joined the navy i saved up, bought an 06 WRX, sold it 6 months later for a 12 WRX which i currently have

My father bought an 07 WRX, drove it once and instantly fell in love with it. I originally wanted an 05 (my favorite body style) but at the price they were being sold for I ended up getting my 2011. I don't think I will ever own a different type of vehicle now. And I'm still on the lookout for a good deal on that 05 I want

Default WRC on TV

I started watching the WRC on the tube and when the WRX came to America in 2001 I bought a Sedona Red Wagon. I had it till April this year when a speeding cab driver ended its life on the viaduct in Seattle. I had 206,000 miles on a basically stock engine. Loved that car. After an appropriate mourning period I bought a 2013 Limited Edition WRX, Which I really like. By the way I think I will mess with this one a bit.

First introduced to Subaru by watching the WRC with my dad. Then I got the chance to ride in an STi and fell in love with brand. Now I proudly own a 93 Impreza L. lol

Started watching wrc as a teenager and I fell in love. One of my good friends ended up buying an 05 sti and I loved riding shotgun. One day grew was nice enough to let me take it around an empty parting lot and the deal was sealed.

I always liked Subaru's for their unique sound and styling. What really sold me was my first ride in an STI. My buddy at college had an '07 and took me for a spin. I had to have one after that. Bought my WRX new in 2010 after I could afford it.

Same here. The sound. Nothing beats that unmistakeable purrrrrrrrrr you can hear coming from blocks away.

Also just the hype about the car in the early 2000's sparked my interest as well as taking some for some test drives. Always wanted one but never owned one. Bought my first in may. I was in the army so I was never home, got out then the recession hit. Finally got a job and the car I've always wanted.

Subaru is more than a car..I almost say owning a STI is a life style. We are all different than the average joe driving a Prius to work. Our subaru is like a member of the family..now on my fourth Impreza. I worked for subaru as a poter when I turned 18 as I was always obsessed with subarus that definitely sucked me even deeper to the Impreza world even more. The feel..the sound watching WRC videos..subaru everything!

I browsed craigslist every day for weeks looking for a car I liked, and the one that finally clicked was my 2005 Legacy

In 2004 I was dating a girl, her brothers best friend who was still in highschool at the time got a brand new one from his parents. I had a 2000 mustang gt w/ almost every single bolt on you could put on a mustang short of a blower. He couldn't even keep pace with me.

HOWEVER, that winter, I got stuck in their driveway and he went blasting by tearing it up in the snow. At that time he had lowered it, put rims on it, it had a exhaust on it. It sounded like nothing I had ever heard before, I was hooked. I wanted one. That spring, I got my first 05 wrx. I've had several cars since that 05 wrx (at least 11, 2 were sti's and 1 evo) but I still always miss it. That is why I am on the hunt for another WRX or Sti right now.... Nothing compares to a subaru.

Bought my 1st one in '88. '81 DL, FWD, 4sp. Spare tire over the engine. Been a fan ever since. Built solidly for a 'cheap' car.
