Ben and Rob and FlexN are the best examples. they all bought wrxs which are far more superior than a stock sti, and I'm sure they didn't do it because they couldn't afford an sti.

its not crappy at all, but its not an STI, much in the same way an RSX Type S or Integra GS-R is not an integra type R

I don't care what other people do to their cars, I'm just warning that they are coming off as ricey to other people. If they want to ignore the warning who cares? It doesn't effect me, it effects them.

As far as people making WRX's superior to STI's..that is irrelevant to this conversation. If you plan on upgrading all of the STI's stock parts there is no reason to buy an STI...it still doesn't make your WRX an STI, it makes it a heavily modified WRX. Also in some of those guys cases they probably would have saved money starting off with STI's. One things for sure though, you won't see rob or ben slapping sti logos on their cars or BBS center caps on enkei wheels

hey garudatwo... post some pics of your car. i'd love to see where your efforts of plasti dipping and rebadging have lead thus far in comparison to the other cars in this forum. with all the arguing and trolling you do, i would certainly hope it could hold a candle to the other cars in this forum.

I agree with this. I don't think putting STI brembos on a WRX is ricey though

this is all true. also, FWIW...my insurance is $90 less a month with a WRX over STi. my driving record isn't stellar and for some reason they classify my WRX as a sedan and an STi as a performance car.

I actually don't have any plastidip on my car for half a year now, and the only rebadging are on the interior (and BBS caps I suppose):

It probably is one of the crappiest cars in this thread, one of the reasons I call it a crapbox. Hell, it's not even Stage 1
With all the arguing that I do, I've never actually said anyone's car (other than my own) is worse than any other's. I do call people out for being hypocrites though!
