We just ordered some Osram Power White bulbs & some Ring Xenon bulbe from the UK will let you know what we think of them when they arrive.

The Power White bulbs are supposed to be the preferred bulb by rally drivers.

Hella bulbs are pretty nice, just put some in my headlights recently. And I was talking to the guy at the auto parts store about PIAA's, and problems people have been having with them. He mentioned that not to long ago, PIAA changed their warranty on their bulbs from lifetime to 90 days! Sounds like even PIAA isn't confident that they make good bulbs anymore.

I had one of my fogs cook (PIAA Super White Platinum, stock wattage) at just under a year, but the other one and both the headlights are still going strong.

Do you guys leave your lights on all the time? I am guilty of this too. You gotta remember that on start-up sometimes the lights can get more juice than normal, causing them to cook. Having them on during the day is also unneccesary so turn them off!

I've got to replace my 3rd PIAA bulb since I got the car in late Oct '00. First it was the LH fog, then the RH fog and now the LH headlamp...grrrrrrrr

I think I'm gonna try something different.

Angry

I've had the same bad luck, er poor manufacturing quality, with the PIAA's. Had both my SuperWhite H3's burn, and also my Plasma Blue H4's burn out as well. Complete junk! I've got Hellas in the car now, and although 1 H4 has burned, Hella has admitted to a quality defect on that particular model. Otherwise, the H3's are working great, plus they are MUCH cheaper than PIAA!

Question

Rajah, what kind of Hella bulbs are you using? Is there a noticeable improvement over stock? Thanks .
